Moon Resto Lounge — Restaurant in London

We thought we would support a new business in the local area although there were many others that I now wish I had chosen instead. Before the day of the birthday booking, I spoke with management and explained it was my daughters 17th birthday, he explained that under 18’s couldn’t order drinks or Shisha (common sense) which I explained there would be adults there to supervise and ensure they didn’t. On arrival, after paying a steep deposit 2 days prior, the attitude of staff was quite frankly disgusting. They wanted to see I.d from 17 year olds and argued he could only allow 1 under 18 in. So why did we pay for 18+ people. Baring in mind we brought over 28 people within our group, (who may I add the manager had the cheek to say he hopes we weren’t coming to chill out and that we would be buying food and drinks…I wonder if he says that to all his customers or just the ethnic ones). All included in our group bought food, drinks and Shisha. My food was horrendous, absolutely no flavour although I added pepper, chilli oil, cheese, etc, the pasta was inedible, hard and difficult to chew, I was informed this is the style of cooking, I took 2 bites, couldn’t eat no more but still had to pay full price..baring in mind our bill was close to £900 but they couldn’t even discount a meal that was inedible and they took back. (This wasn’t the only meal they had to take back). The staff stood around us like bodyguards whilst we ate, refused to let us play music, (as they repeated the same song 6-7+ times over…annoying) even though our group took up 99% of the venue as they stated they had to also cater to other customers (the staffs 2 friends). We were asked to keep the noise down whilst ‘trying’ to sing happy birthday because of the neighbours. The staff member literally came and hushed the group as we sang happy birthday. Lol. If you cannot cater to large groups or sing happy birthday, how about you do not accept such large BIRTHDAY bookings. The service was so disappointing, the food was even more disappointing, the service was uptight, discriminatory, and the only positive thing I can honestly say is the venue is pretty but for all the unnecessary hassle, there are many other pretty venues with good food and service to accompany this locally. Would not recommend this restaurant especially not if your booking for a large group. Oh and to top it off, they also stated the deposit would be deducted off the final bill which they did not do, but instead gave it back to me after I asked, in cash meaning I then have to distribute this back to each individual who paid. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Moon Lounge, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately put me in a relaxed mood.

The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering recommendations based on my preferences, which made the experience even better.

In addition to the shisha, the lounge also offers a delightful menu of beverages and snacks. The drinks were expertly mixed, and the small bites were delicious, complementing the overall experience beautifully.

The live music added to the vibrant atmosphere, creating a lively yet relaxing backdrop for enjoying good company and great conversations. I especially appreciated the friendly and professional service provided by the staff—they made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

Attended Moon🌙lounge this evening with family, I had the lamb chops which was grilled to perfection 👌🏽 with fries and salad my Sister had the burger which looked amazing and she said the flavours of it flame grilled was mouth watering 😋 my aunty couldn't decide on the seafood platter which was either grilled or fried in the end she decided fried, and my mum oreded a steak well done & presented as well as tasted and juicy. We had AMAZING SERVICE by Melissa "THANKYOU" again, also while waiting Melissa brought over a grilled platter complementary on the house free for my Aunty as she couldn't decided originally on what 1 to choose, this I thought was very nice!
