Been meaning to write up on pret for a while now.

I don't know exactly what's happened to this sandwich chain, but I've noticed the standards slipping over the past few years as they make a grab for everyone's cash. Probably a private equity firm squeezing all value they possible can out the company.

As an example: posted is a sad photo of what was once a great banana cake. I'd estimate theyve sliced off about 1/3rd the original size of the banana cak, but of course have continued to hike up the price. Most likely they'll reframe this shrinkflation as being health positive. But Eff that, give me a cake size that's somewhat gorgeable!

The breakfast pastries used to be something I looked forward to, but they also suck now - smaller in size, more expensive, and dried to a husk as they sit inside the heated shelves. Biting into a cheese and ham is like biting into 3 day old pizza crust.

Sandwiches are bland and tasteless. And the coffee tastes overly bitter and watery. Just t errible

Sad state of affairs, really. I don't want to shop there, but due to their monopolizing few other choices are available. Guess will just have to go hungry.

Avoid! And...

This is my first time buying at this Terminal 3 store. They also have the same store at Terminal 5.

I always order a sandwich here, and they’re delicious. However, the prices are a bit high. If you’re looking for a more affordable option, I recommend checking out the other stores that offer a menu set (sandwich, snack, drink) for around £4.99 (I think).

This time, I decided to try the Bacon and Egg Mayo Breakfast baguette for £5.50. I ordered it for takeaway. It was good and tasty, especially for those who prefer hard or crusty bread.

The store is quite crowded with other customers, which is probably normal for an airport. However, the space is limited, so you often bump into people while trying to get food. There’s also a short line at the cashier. Though the staff are friendly.

Despite the higher prices, I find that eating here occasionally isn’t too bad. The sandwiches are delicious, so I would recommend it if you’re willing to spend a bit...

Terrible service. You have queues but you let several people push in without queueing, making the rest of us wait. Most people are reluctant to speak up or are foreigners and I had to tell off both people and staff for not following their own rules. If we all decided to not queue and do a free for all then it should be like that - but the staff are serving those who push the line (with 10 people waiting behind). Better to eat anywhere else out of the 100 available shops here. Extremely disappointed in this branch. I've never seen such bad service.

Update: They've let them know to avoid it happening again and gave a useless drink that can only be used in that country when I told them I am in a different country. They refused to extend or change the country so the customer service is also not resolving...
