Extremely disappointing, the food they served us was awful - we ordered a sharing platter as a starter to share for three and three separate main course meals but the waitress tried to serve the platter at the same time as the main course and said my partner hadn't told them the platter was a starter but he did and she reluctantly/argumentatively took the mains away.

The starter platter was cold/barely warm except for the chicken wings which were hot but we ate it because we were hungry.

When she delivered the main course meals they were barely warm and either dried up where they had obviously tried to keep them hot or just bl*dy awful - my hunters chicken was small sliced bits of chicken held together by dried bacon with dried o sauce served with a tiny bit of salad which had wilted/dried onto the plate and dry warm chips that I just coulndn't swallow so all I ate was the dried up bits of chicken and bacon.

My partner just couldn't eat his mixed grill at all as where they'd tried to keep it warm the fried eggs had dried up and his sausages were cold so he managed to get a refund on just his meal and they were still argumentative and blaming him.

Our friend ate a virtually cold chicken burger with warm fries just to avoid making a fuss .

We never received any apology from the staff and to make a bad situation even worse, three staff members were smoking inside the only doorway to get out at the front (as it was raining) and so we struggled to get out. Their smoke affected my chest so badly that it brought on an asthma attack just after leaving.

The barmaid here is rude and grumpy and very sarcastic. The complete opposite of what a barmaid should be. The not friendly at all. She acted like she didn't even want us there.

We actually finished our drinks early just so we could leave. I was told the place was not welcoming but I thought I would give it a chance!!! Never again. Its a shame because it is a 1 minute walk from my house. I will travel further to get more...

Went to this pub (with a pal) for the first time in about 10 years or so last night. Fabulously Old School! Great welcome, great prices, very well kept beer and a real mix of people and ages. Also allows well behaved dogs on leads. Only stopped in for a quick pint and stayed all night!

I'll definitely be returning for the bar games and the atmosphere.
