English: I walked in tired and hungry, so couldn't be bothered looking at the menu. I said to the chef, "I am hungry. Give me something to eat. Whatever you want. " He asked me if I eat fish. When I said yes he just went away and did his thing. What a lovely surprise came from his skills. My mouth, belly, and body were happy with each mouth full.

A bit of a gem. Excellent vegan and vegetarian crêpes /galletes with a kind of Caribbean twist. The jerk goat (cheese) galette was excellent and nicely spicy (for me... I'm a Chili fiend though. Watch out if you're spice averse). The girlfriend had the special which was tasty and cheesy and not spicy. We went on a Groupon deal but even full price at £7 each is a bargain. Dessert was also excellent, dark and lovely crepe with choc, banana and grand marnier👌 Also the space is nice, with art and soca/African music playing. Plus boss man is super friendly. Top notch.

I saw other reviewers commenting the owner being dishonest and I couldn't agree more. We bought Groupon for this place and booked through its booking system just as instructed in fine print (there was no mentioning that we would have needed to call the restaurant too to check) and we even received a booking confirmation email from Groupon. However when we arrived at the allocated time at 9pm, the owner refused to serve us saying "Listen sister, I can't accept booking for this time. I only have a licence to serve my customers until 9pm." We drove for 40 minutes just to take this worst excuse with no apology at all. If he only had a licence to serve until 9pm, why do his website, Google maps and Facebook all say it's open until 10pm? Why did he have a booking slot for 9pm for us to choose to begin with? He said no word of sorry or tried to make up for the inconveniences we had to suffer. I really don't think he knows how Groupon works nor how customer service works in this country. As a food business owner myself, I felt disgusted. What's worse, when I tried to get a refund from Groupon, I needed an email from this restaurant to prove they denied us service. I requested that email on the restaurant's website and over the phone as well. The message got ignored and my call was hung up on by another rude staff there. My biggest question is why do they even have a resturant? Steal people's money and disrespect customers seem to be...

Although KataKata only serve a type of French pancake (crêpe-style) with different savoury fillings, and a variety of sweet crêpes for desert, the food is very lovely and very tasty. It is all made from scratch on the premises, and the food could not be faulted. I have not had the pleasure of trying the desert crêpes, as they very unfortunately ran out of batter and was getting very busy. They have a variety of freshly made teas - I definitely recommend the beetroot and ginger tea, it was beautiful! Also made from scratch with raw ingredients. I would not recommend this for the starving person - it would be best if you have eaten or are not expecting huge meal. Vegan- and GF-friendly, and all the menu options can be changed to your liking. The atmosphere is great, lots of smiles from the staff and it's very cosy and homely. There is also a large couch should you just want to get comfortable with a book and a drink. In fact, they have a large bookshelf with books right there! Overall, I enjoyed it at KataKata and would like to try the crêpes should I be in the area. I did get home hungry and devoured a sandwich, but if I did have a crêpe, I think it would be been satiated. I recommend trying it if you're in the area, or fancy some freshly prepared food that was made with love: that much is very obvious and they take pride in their food - this can't be said of every eatery, and makes it stand...

I would have given a 5 star review but happy cow doesn’t allow me because they’re not a fully vegan restaurant.

They have a lot of vegan options though! Their mains include Galettes which uses a buckwheat wrap and with loads of veggie fillings and hummus with a side salad. This was very filling and felt very fresh and healthy. I would’ve like a sauce or something on top (just cause I love dips and sauces).

Their desserts are usually not vegan but the owner would happily make it vegan for you and suggest alternatives. The vegan cream they use is really great.

The appetiser in itself was already very filling. They were Farinata with either mushrooms or salsa. The Farinata is not the usual that I know - thinner and a but crunchier (My boyfriend is Italian and his one is a bit thicker and softer). But it was tasty!

The whole place has a very welcome, colourful, positive and eclectic vibe. The owner was so friendly, he even showed us the garden and outside seating area. They use organic produce and grow the herbs and perhaps some of the veggies they use. We were even given a tribal drum performance by the owner (because I was very curious about it).

You can tell they have a community vibe, prices are reasonable and they don’t even have a service charge. Give them a...
