Riverside Café — Restaurant in London

Went for a walk and some food on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Service was excellent from the young man that served us. What I ordered was a little underwhelming than I expected. Had the all day breakfast at £9 I think. The sausage (1) casing was very hard and dry and so was the two bacon. Would’ve loved to have a bit more on my plate than I did. I would’ve loved mushrooms on my plate too but it is what it is.

Friend had the chillie con carne which he said was good but portion was (according to him) a bit smaller than he’d expected.

Coffees were great!

Too busy and too slow. Took over 10 minutes to queue for just one coffee because there is not enough people serving and making drinks. The chai latte I ordered was basically the same as a shop bought one and must have only had one scoop as it basically tasted like hot milk. The only way to get an Easter trail is to queue up in the cafe queue which took forever as old biddies order all their teas, coffees and multiple Lunches on multiple Cards. Simple changes would improve the efficiency...

The location. Is excellent, the food and coffees are good and good value for money, though some of the prices have risen sharply, they were probably too low to start with As regards service it's a tale of two cafes. One where the staff and atmosphere are lovely and one where just on occasions it isn't as sharp and I feel as if my presence is just seen as less than convenient. The majority of my service experience has been good or better and nearly all the staff polite...
