Rose Cafe — Restaurant in London

Rose Cafe does what is says in the tin - no frills, reasonably priced, comfort food. Located between the 02 shopping centre and Finchley Road + Frognal station it is a great early morning breakfast stop with doors opening at 6.30AM. The interior is large but dim, for the exception of a table next to a large window. The menu is fairly standard to most most British cafes - breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, omelettes, jacket potatoes. The health breakfast (£6.90) - two poached eggs on one brown toast, halloumi, avocado and mushrooms - was freshly cooked with a reasonable portion size. I have chosen my own breakfast from the list of items, and I'm was impressed with the quality of each item. Each item was cooked to perfection and most of them have been cooked on the grill, making them much healthier. The service was good, and the price was cheap for what we got. I discovered this gem while working at a temp office in the area. It's a traditional cafe...no pretensions at all...just tasty food at reasonable prices. I didn't try a lot of their menu as I got stuck on their cheeseburger as it was so delicious! The staff were always friendly and I'm going to miss this place as I'm no longer...
