This is a big restaurant with an alcohol-free bar in the middle so you can watch your cocktails being made. Not only that, an open kitchen too, with wood burning oven which was just a joy for me to watch. The staff were attentive and professional, they knew the menu well and answered questions and forthcoming with details. We ordered cocktails ‘Sangria’ and ‘Cosmopolitan’ and the waiter made all our long-forgotten Cocktail memories flood back as we watched him prepare it! For starters we got a cured meat platter which was served with burrata cheese, baby plum tomatoes and Garlic bread and I almost wish we ordered two! This sharing platter was so fresh and flavoursome; the cheese was creamy and buttery which literally melted in my mouth. For main we got a Bolognese which was pappardelle (freshly made pasta) in a beef shin ragu slow cooked over eight hours and it showed. It was perfectly seasoned and incredibly rich. We also got a Chilli Salame pizza which could just be the best pizza I have eaten in my life, and I’ve eaten in Rome! Everything from the tomato base to the chilli sauce topping was oozing with depth and was so satisfying. The portions we’re incredibly generous so we had just enough room for a sharing dessert and as soon as it arrived, we regretted that decision! We ordered Torta Della nonna which was crumbly shortcrust pastry tart with a lemon flavoured custard cream filling that was delightful and went perfectly with my tea just wish we had more! Take it from me and put this place on your list to visit. If I haven’t been convincing enough then here’s a few more reasons - it’s reasonably priced, wonderful welcoming atmosphere and a great place for families (I saw a row of highchairs). It’s just two minutes from Finchley Rd station (Which is just so far from me, therefore I’m starting a campaign for zerozero to open new branch on my side of London!) and it’s...
Read moreMinus stars. Do not set foot inside this establishment if you are a woman who values her autonomy, her agency, and her right to privacy. There are men who work here who should be reported to gender equality awareness organisations and kept far away from interacting with female members of the public until they have received appropriate training in mutual respect, and shown some evidence of their belief that women are not, in fact, second class citizens. Female customers should not be told what they want to order or what their tastes are, and they should not have to suffer comments about their relationship when NOBODY asked for any staff member's opinion about it whatsoever. On top of this, when these issues were raised with other (male) members of staff - as I left the restaurant physically shaking - they did approximately zero (funny - hence the name) and the original offender was still happily working his shift when we passed by three hours later. Don't touch this place with a bargepole if you're a woman who believes in equality, or a man who respects women. I wish it every failure in the future, and I think it should be closed down because any unsuspecting female member of the public could go in there and be the victim of toxic institutionally validated discrimination. So, my message to the company is either shut your doors or at least have the courtesy to put a nice big sign in the window - 'No respect for women...
Read moreExcellent quality in terms of food and also of service. Restaurant has opened about 2 months ago amd seemed well organized with experienced staff. Staff welcomed us very warmly and, arrived at our table Yousra, our waitress, offered us excellent non-alcoholic drinks. the restaurant is completely alcohol free. the place has a large space with an open pizzeria and also some tables at the balcony well sheltered from the wind, very pleasant to have a dinner in good weather. Italian cuisine and quality products with a wide choice of appetizers, pasta (fresh homemade), pizzas, and homemade desserts with rich and abundant portions. as for our order we had fried calamari and fried pasta both very tasty. followed by 2 pasta dishes, one with meat sauce and the other, under the advice of Yousra, with prawns, tomatoes and burrata. Absolutely divine. we finished with a nice tiramisu and I must say as Italian, really tasty. ZERO ZERO highly recommended, excellent if you want to try some specialties of Mediterranean cuisine and perfect if you intend to go to the cinema as the rooms are right in front. I will...
