A visit to West Croydon is never complete without visiting dear Rotti Mama himself - always friendly with a big smile across his face.

This little joint has come a long way. Still some of the most authentic tasting bites and kothu you’ll get anywhere, and value to boot. Especially compared to the more aesthetically-pleasing hipsterish places popping up every where these days. Real kothu - light, flaky rotti and veg, with rich flavours from the meat.

I've seen the negative reviews about old food and not clean, they've come a long way since they reopened/refurbishes. Trust me, as a foodie Sri Lankan these guys have the best mutton rolls in town, you cannot beat them by price or flavour or size. Chicken liver curry is unreal, and their kothu and biryani has stepped up so much. Safely can say this is one of the best spots now for quick bites and takeaway for Sri Lankan dishes....

I've managed to walk past this lil shop for years-and finally ventured in.... oooooh wow! Such beautiful and truly delightful food. I've started on the Roti filled with curry chicken and also the mutton one. They cost £1.50 each and very filling for the price x I actually cam not wait to walk past again on Monday to try...
