We’ve been loyal customers of Royal Standard since 2023, and it genuinely used to be our favourite spot for creative, delicious vegan food. Even after moving out of London, we still made the 40-minute journey just to eat here and proudly recommended it to friends and family.
Sadly, the recent menu changes have been a huge letdown. The drop in quality is obvious, and the creativity that once made Royal Standard special is gone. For example, the vegan chicken wings used to be made from sugar cane and jackfruit – a unique combo that nailed both flavour and texture. We deeply miss the old Jamaican patties, the Korean Chick’n Seol Burger, and the curry goat with rice & peas – each one helped set Royal Standard apart.
Our last order (burger and wings) left us not only disappointed but with upset stomachs – something we’ve never experienced here before. Sadly, we won’t be returning. We urge Royal Standard to bring back the original recipes, even if it means offering fewer items. Quality is what made you great. Please...

Plus note it's multiple kitchens so you get lots of choices. No worries we thought since the kitchen is next door. Barely anyone's in the pub and we waited over 1 hour for our food. Bunch of delivery drivers picking up the food before us so looks like they're more like a deliveroo kitchen than the pub's as the pub customer didn't get priority. Shout out to the bartender though who was very apologetic and gave us another pint. I wouldn't come back and just order from home with deliveroo. The concept is interesting but wouldn't work unless the pub customer get...

We asked for aperol spritz as we have seen the bottle of Aperol. One of the random guys wondering behind the counter said "what's that?" So we asked for beers instead. He had no idea how to spill a draught beer. My partner's glass smelled of chemical.....
