Not a great experience, especially when considering how much they feel their experience is worth (pricing). We arrived and asked if dogs were welcome and were advised they were we then ordered two sausage rolls, a cappuccino and a mocha £20. Our sausage rolls arrived very quickly and the coffees ….just never arrived; I have never had this experience before - food arriving before drinks! After waiting patiently and finishing the rolls, the server arrived with coffees for someone who had literally sat down a few mins before, but she looked over to us, so we thought she had recognised the oversight….waited…she had not. In the end I went up and addressed the server explaining politely that the drinks never arrived. She said nothing and just pointed at a girl at the coffee station. There were two drinks there and I asked if this was our cappuccino and mocha she said yes. I offered to take them over to our table as I was going that way anyhow (trying to have a laugh with her) and she then became rude “I will bring it over in a minute (we had already waited 15mins!) . When it eventually arrived, my wife pointed out that she had ordered a cappuccino and not a latte ; the girl tutted and took the latte away and returned almost immediately with the same latte that she had taken away she had sprinkled a bit of chocolate over the top of it and then blatantly lied saying she had picked up the wrong one. We were quite surprised by the general attitude we received here ( was Boxing Day too! Merry Christmas!) to be fair it was the barista who destroyed the experience. Being that they charge as if they are a cut above the other cafes around here, I would suggest a review of staff and rectify any grudges they have or whether perhaps they are no longer enjoying their work. Also an apology for the delays and mistakes; and a genuine rectification would have been the reasonable reaction, costs nothing but would have saved them a poor review and maybe even landed them with a more positive one. I won’t be back….although we did have a good laugh about it on our way home; so...
Read moreWe stopped off here for a late lunch and to use the WiFi. It was recommended by my daughter and her friend, who often eat here.
Of course, being late meant quite a few dishes were no longer available, so I reluctantly ordered items I usually don’t like—Quiche with broccoli and Greek salad and small roasted potato salad.
My wife wasn’t hungry; she just wanted a drink and the wifi password.
The food came promptly, and my wife had finished the Zoom call she had to make. My wife eyed up my plate, and even before I could slice the quiche, she had picked up another knife and taken a portion. Then she asked the waiter for another plate, and she stole half my food. I wasn’t bothered since I saw it as just food to keep going until we could get home.
Maybe my expectations were low, but the taste of the quiche blew me away, as did the salads.
Maybe I’ve had too many cold boring supermarket quiches, and I don’t know what a real quiche is supposed to taste like, but this food was excellent. I would come here again, and definitely not share my lunch with my wife, she can...
Read moreThe place itself is very nice inside, the staff was also friendly, however I can’t say I’d visit again. We were told to sit down wherever we would like to. There was no menu on the table and after waiting quite a long time for someone to come, I realised on a board it was written to go to the front to order. So it did not make any sense why they would not tell us this in the first place and you have 2-3 people working there with sitting area, but not taking the order at the table, so you sit down to go back to order!? Then I didn’t get my food I ordered 2x, which is not a big deal, happens… but both times my food was brought back on the same plate, the food I didn’t order was just scraped off… usually if this happens, normal places would give you a new portion/ plate. Also the first time I’ve ever had Greek salad with coriander… it’s overpriced compared to...
