From the moment we stepped into Cubes, it was clear we were in for something special. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance and relaxed comfort—an ideal backdrop for what turned out to be a truly unforgettable meal.

We began with the prawn croquettes, which were a masterclass in texture and flavor. Perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, they gave way to a creamy, rich interior bursting with the essence of the sea. The prawns were impeccably fresh, their natural sweetness elevated by subtle seasoning and a delicate hint of citrus. Each bite was both luxurious and light—a rare and skillful feat.

Then came the duck, cooked to a flawless medium-rare, with a beautifully rendered, crisp skin that added a satisfying contrast to the tender, juicy meat beneath. The flavors were deep and complex—earthy yet refined—enhanced by a sauce that struck a delicate balance between richness and acidity. Every element on the plate played a role in telling the story of the dish.

Finally, the lamb. Simply put, it was extraordinary. Meltingly tender, with a depth of flavor that only the finest cuts and careful preparation can deliver. The seasoning was pitch-perfect, allowing the natural character of the lamb to shine without overpowering it. Whether slow-roasted or seared, it was clear that this dish had been crafted with the kind of care and respect that separates a good kitchen from a great one.

Cubes isn't just a restaurant—it's a celebration of culinary precision and passion. Every dish we tried reflected not only technical excellence but a genuine love of food. We left already planning our return, eager to explore more of what this remarkable place...

If you're looking for a local mediterranean brunch spot, then you need to add this spot to your list, Cubes have a wonderful team that are bound to make you smile as you walk through the door! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and we absolutely loved the look of their dinner menu, it’s defo worth trying one day!

We had the Crouch End Feast a Traditional Free-range pan-fried eggs, feta cheese, pan fried sujuk, mushrooms, roasted vegetables, yogurt with honey, cherry tomatoes with sourdough bread which was perfect for one.

The Vegi Bamba with 2 Free range eggs, roasted cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, hashbrown, slice avocado, baked beans, and toasted sourdough bread, again perfect for one.

Their Shakshouka (spicy) was 2 perfectly cooked free range eggs, chopped tomatoes, green peppers, green chillies, sujuk and sourdough bread - every brunch lovers must-have to complement that classic Mediterranean breakfast.

If you’re not grabbing at least a sweet dish, are you really brunching? Their pancake is a brilliant plate includes fluffy pancakes served with fresh mixed berry jam, walnuts, and maple syrup.

They also have great coffee and Live Jazz every...

A smashing little spot for brunch in the centre of Crouch End, a short detour from the Parkland Walk as we got to about halfway through.

Brunch dishes of smashed avocado, bacon, and poached eggs, and fried chicken, bacon, sunny side-up eggs were incredible. Both were delivered on tasty sourdough and with Mediterranean accents. The cappuccinos were tasty too. We weren't served a drinks menu but this was probably for the best as the table next to us were chugging Negronis and they looked divine. We really appreciated the complimentary infused water that was brought to us without asking.

The table on our other side were regulars and they were singing to us about the place. There's a dining room in the front with an open kitchen but we were parked in a room at the back with a retractable roof which, as soon as we were seated, they opened up for us, bathing us in sunlight as we enjoyed our food. Service is swift and friendly, but not overbearing. Very accommodating to large parties, pets and kids.

Once again, a fortuitous and fabulous find. Brunch and coffee for two came to just under £forty. We will...

I love it when the Google reviews deliver and they really do with Cubes. You can believe the stars. We visited for an impromptu dinner hoping for a tapas type experience. That's not exactly what Cubes offers but we made it work by ordering two starters each. And what a great decision. Each dish was both delicious and bountiful. Dessert was not an option! More specifically we went for the chicken hot wings (just the right level of spice), eggplant tower (so very soft and yummy), calamari (perfectly fried), goat cheese (punchy and tangy), mixed sea food (a mini stew), magic mushrooms (not quite what you're thinking) and some chips. Only the last was just fine as every other dish was so very good. Also the staff were really very helpful and attentive. With the kitchen team right in full view it made for a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Honestly I can't find anything to complain about with Cubes and we'll have to return soon.
