Manager was very friendly and nice but I would like to give my honest review. It is extremely overpriced-especially for the location, food quality, portions. Roughly £45 per person for meal/drink. Dessert would have added even more. Portions are extremely small and doesn't fill you up at all. (I'm very slim with mild appetite-same as my children) The actual potato of the chips taste is very cheap with no flavour. Lamb strips are way too chewy with artificial sweet sauce flavour. Restaurant is small and they try and cram all customers together like sardines for ease of the waiters. Even though there are empty tables on the other side. Very uncomfortable especially when you have young kids. Not relaxing or enjoyable restaurant eat out dining experience we had very much anticipated and was very excited looking forward to. Was so excited by all the positive reviews we had read beforehand! We waited 20mins for a side table(my toddler got v irate by then) and eventually saw there were free side tables on the other side of the restaurant all along which they kept lying about and said there were no free tables. (Maybe they didn't want to clean an extra table and just wanted everyone to be crammed together and sweating like uncomfortable squashed sardines in a small restaurant for convenience of waiters and also keep other side tables free incase larger groups came in-more money!) The waiter kept ignoring when asking for a spare plate for my toddler. Also when asking for a take home box several times, he also kept ignoring. Then eventually gave a box-without a carrier bag. The lack of disrespectful service made me feel like it was too much to ask for a carrier bag! The sauces then leaked out of the box onto my kids jackets on the way up the stairs! For the prices they charge, the quality of food and services should be top notch, prompt, respectful and they should prioritise making the customers feel as happy, comfortable and aim to be as compassionate as possible especially when they can see that they arrived with young kids-who would naturally get impatient/ frustrated quickly. And not let the parents eat. Was honestly so upset by their service in general. My family and I were looking forward to this dining experience all week. 50percent of customer satisfaction is service. Would most definitely...
Read moreWe visited Sahara Grill today hoping to enjoy some good food and relax, but sadly, the experience was a far cry from what we expected. Our order included some chicken wings and a chicken steak. The wings looked more like a beak! We were dismayed to find that the wings were incredibly thin, much thinner than what we had expected from any reputable restaurant. Wings this size are not found even in fried chicken shops like PFC, absolutely ridiculous! (See pics) The £11,99 that we spent for this meager order was truly wasted money. The chicken steak was also rather petite, a further indication that the kitchen had not paid proper attention to details. Both me and my mate had a huge lump of coleslaw (easily 2 kilograms worth - each), What is wrong with these guys! This feeling of disappointment was amplified when we saw the whopping £49 that we were charged. This made it clear to us that Sahara Grill had clearly been hit by the recent recession, sacrificing quality and quantity of their meals to accommodate their customers' lower spending. Needless to say, we were highly dissatisfied diners.
In conclusion, while we were hoping to relax and enjoy some quality food at Sahara Grill, we were met with a vastly subpar experience. We would strongly discourage anyone from visiting this establishment. This will no doubt be my last time visiting this rip off restaurant, We also did not appreciate your waiter trying to make us eat quicker, as it was closing time, So I beg to ask why not just tell us you are closing in an hour and not accepting orders? Instead of giving us beaks as wings, and kilos of cabbage and a slim petite joke of a steak? I wish I could give you zero stars as it was an absolute flop of a dining experience.
Kind regards, Faheem, PS: Thanks for...
Read moreI came in today 9 months pregnant and was really looking forward to a good steak. I was asked to wait 20 minutes before being seated in the restaurant area which I didn’t mind, as I was genuinely looking forward to my meal.
When I was finally taken through, I was escorted past plenty of empty tables and placed at a very dark table for two at the furthest possible end of the restaurant, and furthest from the toilets. I politely explained that, being heavily pregnant, I needed to be seated closer to the toilets. I was told I would need to wait again.
I waited After another 20 minutes, I was then told that the empty tables I had originally been walked past were being held for a larger group that had just walked in. I explained again that I could not sit at the back. I was told to wait yet again for a middle table where two men were finishing up.
I waited patiently, at a close by table. Only for the waiter to come back and tell me that this table was being given to a group of three who hadn’t even arrived yet.
At this point I have to say I have never felt so ignored or disrespected, especially as a pregnant woman. The restaurant had no issue seating men at the very table I requested, yet when I asked for the same table for myself and my partner, suddenly it was unavailable.
I WOULD NEVER RETURN. NOT EVEN IF IT WAS FREE They do not respect pregnant women and they clearly prioritise larger groups because there is more money to be made. If you are not part of a big booking, they will happily give away tables from smaller parties — even if you are 9 months pregnant and have already been waiting.
They simply do not care about your comfort or experience unless you’re bringing them the...
