RIp-offs that take your money for the wrong orders and rude staff, avoid at all cost. We had an absolutely DIABOLICAL customer service experience with the worst staff that are rude, poorly trained, mis-prepare your orders, get them wrong and won't admit their mistakes, or offer any ways to formally complain. Ripped us off by serving the wrong drink and refused to fix it or offer a refund!!!

I invited a friend to meet at Creams and bought him a hot drink. Not only was it lukewarm, but it was the completely wrong drink. I presented the drink to the staff at the till and they outright refused to admit their mistake or take any action, just being very patronising saying "nothing we can do", that's just "how it is", "no refunds"... we didn't even ask for a refund! I would have happily paid for them to fix it or get another drink if they but asked, but no.

Then they told us if you want to complain, there's no one here, you have to e-mail. Then they went off for a minute, came back and then said there's no e-mail, just look online for us instead. What an absolute joke.

I'm honestly never one for complaining and always give the benefit of the doubt in most scenarios, but I was left so shocked and appalled at the lack of customer service, I actually bothered to go find the website to write a complaint. Lo behold, there was an e-mail... the staff clearly aren't trained in customer service or resolving when orders go wrong.

I sent a complaint in but did not even get the courtesy of a reply, which is very unprofessional. Don't let fancy menus or colourful dessert options fool you into accepting the fact that they're happy for you to be ripped off.

To think that I actually convinced my friend to go to Cream's instead of Costa just by virtue of Cream's being a smaller business franchise. I've learned the hard way that just because a business is a smaller business, it doesn't mean they'll give you a more personable superior customer service experience at all. Next time, I'll go to places where I know I'll get quality service and treated nicely, regardless of the company size.

The ice cream was average, but no amount of sweetness will fix the bitter taste left after such an awful experience. There are plenty of good other dessert places in Whitechapel with staff that are friendly, polite and will treat you with courtesy and respect, with the decency to apologise or offer to fix things in the unlikely event of orders going wrong. I've had orders go wrong before at Sweet in Stepney down the road and the staff were more than happy to fix it and offer alternatives, without touting "no refunds" or "nothing we can do" repeatedly in my face.

If they get your order wrong, don't expect them to fix it or offer another alternative. But do expect them to tell you "no refunds" and that you can't...

This is a place regularly visited as its local. But as with a lot of business owners, once they know they have established a good customer base, their standards slip.

On this occasion I came with my five year old child for a few scoops of fancy ice cream (with marshmallows and sprinkles etc). The person on the till served my son some considerable time after order was placed. When the ice cream came, it was 30% liquid as it was melted. The sprinkles etc that we paid for was missing. So I took it back to the counter to inform them of the unsatisfactory dish served. Considering the owner of the New Road E1 branch was standing near the till, the persons response not in so many words were equivalent to two fingers. So I escalated the matter to the owner and his response was 'instead I can pour some chocolate or strawberry sauce instead on top of the existing melted ice cream.

This ice cream was the best part of £5 for a child. Its not the monetary value but the fact the ignorance towards a child's treat. Eventually my son started to cry. And do you think the staff gave two hoots? No they didn't.

I'm sure you've read enough. Just take a look at the blue bubblegum ice cream and the plain ice cream photo taken as it was served. I bet a kid can serve a better portion of ice cream at home from a 99p carton of Walls ice cream. This is the difference between building a customer base and retaining a customer base for a long standing successful business.

I would not use this shop ever again.

Today is 30.1.2021 (3 months after I wrote the above review). And to no surprise the owner or workers have not even bothered to comment to defend their actions. Goes to show how much they actually care for the walk in customers that are totally oblivious to their work ethics...

There was 5 of us and we were looking forward to the desserts... was so disappointed when they arrived.

Firstly we were charged 50p each time to have some strawberry syrup on top of ice cream...

Secondly my I ordered the belgian choc crepe but there was no flakes on top and minimum choclate. I asked the girl and she took plate and came back with bananas and nuts on top of my crepe! I am allergic to nuts! So she stomped off with my plate and came back again with the what looked more like the description of what I ordered. Crepe was very thick and crispy though so was gutted!

My sisters waffle was as stiff as a frisby- solid with minimum chocolate on top.

Another sister's creme brulee cheesecake smelt like beetlenuts 😂 so that went to waste too.

Then the cookie dough we ordered... well lets just say... we gave that a 2*... if u want cookie dough...best to go to Pizza hut or Urban Chocolatier or just make it yourself!

First and last time here sadly. Interior was fairly impressive but the staff were quite rude and need to brush up on their customer service skills. I hope manager takes note and improves the site before more customers are...

I had a very bad experience at this café. The staff were extremely rude, especially one particular person (picture attached). I placed my order and had to wait for almost 40 minutes. He was working very slowly, while another staff member was busy on a personal phone call. When I told them I had been waiting too long, he rudely said, “You can go.” I was also surprised when he insisted that I pay in cash. I told him I didn’t have cash and would use my card, but he kept arguing with me. On top of that, his behavior towards female customers was inappropriate and unprofessional. When I asked to speak with the manager, this same person claimed to be the manager. If that is true, I have no idea how he was given such a position when he clearly doesn’t know how to manage or even talk politely to customers. I am writing this review not just because of my own experience, but also because I saw him being rude to other customers as well during my long wait. I sincerely request the café management to either train their staff properly or consider replacing them, because this kind of behavior is unacceptable.

I had a truly disappointing experience at Creams Cafe Whitechapel. This is not the first time either and as such I just felt like I had to leave a review. Not only was the service incredibly slow, but the staff members were incredibly rude and unhelpful. From the moment I walked in, I felt like an inconvenience to the staff. They were dismissive of my questions and seemed annoyed when I asked for recommendations. When my order finally arrived, it was clear that it had been rushed and was of poor quality. The ice cream was melting and the waffles were soggy. When I asked to speak to a manager about my concerns, the staff members were even more dismissive and unhelpful. They refused to refund my order or make any attempts to rectify the situation. I had people with me that had allergies and took no notice! Overall, I would not recommend Creams Cafe Whitechapel to anyone. The poor customer service and rude staff members completely ruined my experience, and I will not be returning. You guys really need to change things here before you lose all your loyal customers.

nice place , the desserts were perfect my favorite was the sticky bonofee with the vanilla cream and ice cream it comes on a oven bake tray (costs £2 more ) it was hot and cold at the same time plus the sweet banana kicked in it was amazing having so many sensations at once the vanilla is the best thing there imagine a soft serve ice cream from the ice cream van but thicker and more richer in taste it's a must try shame I didn't buy it on its own with a cone they lack physical menus (only had 2) and are digitised (qr code) the restroom is disabled friendly even though it's the only one in the whole place and it's not clean staff were friendly and helpful some items I chose on the menu were apparently not being served no more so the menu needs to be updated (online and physical) I wouldn't get the strawberry ice cream it's a taste bit off for some reason the price of the items below in total costs £49.20
