I would really advise people not to go at this place, since this is the worst when it comes to service. Recently I was assaulted by one of the waiters in the shop for no god damn reason.
I wanted to get some details for catering and while asking for the boss’s number from the waiter, so that I can discuss and negotiate the rates with him directly. He literally replied me in a very rude manner, and upon asking from him if everything is okay I can come in personally again and meet him. He started shouting and abusing me in a really bad language. Obviously this could have made any customer angry and inquire about this rude behavior. When I tried to calm him down and literally started assaulting me. Thank god to the customers there who intervened and stopped him. I complained to the police but there was no evidence since the camera is not working in the shop, for this matter to be further investigated.

Read moreTend to drop into this popular and friendly takeaway when I'm passing. The lamb sheekh kebabs, 70p each and larger than you might get elsewhere, are worth trying (they do chicken ones too)... I buy a dozen and put some in the freezer. They tend to be a tad salty, as is the tandoori and tikka, but they are anywhere. A small range of curries is offered which are not as full flavoured as you might get from a restaurant, except perhaps for the Karahi, but nice all the same, with advantage that the portions are generous... medium cartons of curry and of rice could be fine for two. The popular sag aloo is particularly good, and again generous. Unlike a lot of Pakistani takeaways they close at the earlier time of 10.30pm. Keep the plastic cartons the curries come in... they are very useful and many time reusable for your own food you want to freeze...
Read moreBeing from the west Midlands its hard to find a decent authentic lamb keema, bhuna, roti.. the list goes on. Also being a chef and having to criticise many places that aren't up to standard, its hard to find a place where the staff are smiling, the food is delicious and AUTHENTIC. Salims humbled me today. I chose the lamb bhuna and lamb mince mixed box, chicken masala and chicken keema mixed box. Rice, saag aloo and potato. Not to forget the fresh roti and naan. I cant get over how good this food was! It had flavour, the meat was tender, the bread was fresh! (Cooked infront of us) Yes it was spicy, enough to give my gallbladder a scare but its worth it. North London is much more than the local chicken shops and coffee pop ups. Thankyou to the owner we met today, hard working, knows his...
