We recently had the pleasure of visiting Double Apple Lounge, a charming and inviting establishment located in Turnpike Lane, North London. The bright and well-designed interior created a pleasant and comfortable setting for a memorable evening. The lounge area provided a cosy space where I could relax and enjoy the company of my friends.
Double Apple Lounge was a true delight. We started our evening with the Mini Brisket Burgers, which were not only flavourful and large in portion but also had the perfect balance of tenderness and juiciness. The Calamari was another highlight, with its crispy texture and delightful seasoning that complemented the dish perfectly.
For the main course, I opted for the Rib Eye Steak, and I must say it was a prime choice. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender and packed with the perfect seasonings. The accompanying Prawns were a delightful addition, providing a burst of freshness that complemented the steak impeccably and well cooked.
To satisfy our sweet cravings, we indulged in the Vanilla Cheesecake with Ferrero Rocher & Nutella and the Chocolate Fudge Cake [MUST HAVE]. Both desserts were heavenly, with each bite offering a symphony of flavours. The Chocolate Fudge Cake, on the other hand, was moist, decadent, and a chocolate lover’s dream we topped this with some hot custard. The sides at Double Apple Lounge were equally impressive. The Mac & Cheese was rich and creamy, with the right amount of cheese to satisfy any comfort food craving.
The beverage menu was equally enticing, with a range of refreshing and unique mocktails. The Pretty Little Drink and Mango Madness were both delicious and beautifully presented, making them the perfect accompaniments with little sweet treats topped on the drink.
Not to forget, their range of shisha is fantastic!
Throughout the evening, the service provided by Kazi was exemplary. His warm and generous approach made us feel welcomed and...
Read morethe first thing i would like to say is that the interior of this place is very lovely and nice BUT the policies don't make sense. upon arrival there was very long queue where a man would go to each person to tell them the rules and regulations of 'double apple' which was cash only (which i personally think is a bit outdated), you only get the table for 1 hour an half. The man then asked for the gender of the group of people that was coming in my group which i thought was very bizzare, when i questioned why he wanted to know that he said it was the policy. The drinks look very fancy but taste wise it was quite average, along with the food which again looked very nice but wasn't the best. once seated i was told by an employee that i would not be comfortable where i was sitting despite that only being the only table i was shown, i was then shown a table near the toilet which i personally think that didn't make sense. the people took quite long to serve us and take our order (i personally think they could not handle the demand of people that they had inside the venue.) when it came to paying the bill we was then told that we have to go to the till to pay which i thought was quite odd also. Overall i think that double apple need to update a lot things like their policies to adapt with the times that we are in, the actual running of their business i.g (have a website, take card payments and maybe have a booking system in place so that people don't have to queue outside for a long period of time) overall like i said before the interior is nice but as a business they have alot to work on and i think i won't be back again...
Read moreI have been a regular at double Apple for over two years now, and have enjoyed the service as well as the smoke.
Today, I decided to make my two cousins who have come down from Cardiff to experience double apple. As the weather was 24 degrees, I decided to wear shorts. As soon as I entered, the waitress along with the manager (who recognised me) said I was not allowed to enter due to my shorts. I explained to him that if this was the new policy, they should make it clear on social media or their website.
If I did miss the (no shorts policy) at least give me the opportunity to come on this ocassion and next time I would wear the appropriate clothing. However, the manager was very dismissive and did not take into consideration that I was a regular to so long.
I was very disappointed to experience this as I came down from Pimlico and we were treated like we were regular customers.
For a manager who claims to be a stickler when it comes to rules, why was you operating illegally during lockdown, absolute hypocrites. The manager refused me to enter due to shorts but during PEAK covid times would allow people to smoke when shisha lounges were banned 😂😂😂.
I will never go again, I’m happy to follow the rules,
make policy’s clear on social media
accommodate to loyal customers
don’t operate during lockdown (illegally) then ban me from entering due to now following...
