Jashan — Restaurant in London

Thank god we did not visit there and will never. We ordered food a second time as we were impressed with the first time. we ordered items more than 55 pounds but one dish was missing.

My husband called up the restaurant guy and he blamed Just Eat people for stealing food. And we had to order again with the delivery charge. The guy in the restaurant does not clearly state that the delivery charge will be there if u order the can, and we will deliver your dish then on that he said he will send 2 butter naans and I thought it was like goodwill as one item was not sent. But Why Should We Pay Again For The Delivery Charge If It Was The Restaurants Mistake?

I confronted the same guy who came the second time to deliver the dish and I asked him why the restaurant did not send our one item the just-eat guy said that they are very busy and they forgot. I got really mad and I told the just eat guy but the restaurant guy blames just eat for stealing the food.

then also I checked reviews online that if anybody said anything in the reviews. The restaurant guy says oh it has happened with many of our customers. There were no reviews on it. Also, the item was not piping hot. So I am pretty sure it was forgotten there in the restaurant. Instead of admitting it, he went on arguing about it and blaming the Just-eat people. Today we had a bad experience with them.

These restaurants have become so greedy for money everywhere and they don't think about their quality and standards of service. The restaurant should make it sure that the order is fully delivered.

UPDATE REVIEW 06/03/23 Went back on a whim and spoke to the manager/owner. He was genuinely interested on customer focus. Ordered a chicken curry and some naan. The owner presented it himself and told me he made it with a twist. Honestly, so much more improvement. I didn’t want to chance it so took the whole family within 3 days. The curry was made with fresh ingredients. I tried both chicken and lamb curry and both fresh as anything. (One knows the food is good when the kids eat them). Anyway, a massive different and I’m proud to say we have a local curry house. The decor has slightly changed but improvement in terms of lighting!!! I can’t wait till they introduce milkshakes!!! Walked past this place and first impressions, friendly staff and lovely decor. Sadly that’s where the buck stops. I would start off by saying the presentation of the food got my juices going.

I soon realised, reheated food in a fancy pot!!

The biryani had the authentic presentation but again reheated.

Chicken tikka on a sizzler, lazy job and def was not fresh. Overcooked and dry as a bone.

Mango lassi had the right milk/pulp ratio but that’s it!

The food was bland and not flavoursome (I’m Asian). As the other reviews said, some members may disagree with me on this side.

Lastly, the prices are those of elite restaurants.

I got the chicken tikka masala on a Thursday night. It was a perfect blend of spice and the chicken was tender, even at the end of the day. Their service was great, atmosphere was very comfortable and friendly.

I had paid and asked if there was rice, they said there wasn’t, so I asked to add on a Naan but they tossed it in for free since I had already paid. I wouldn’t say that’s the norm so please don’t go there expecting that, but that was really kind of them and I appreciate the service. I even offered to come back with a pound tomorrow to pay for it and they said it was chill and that I didn’t have to.

They also kept assuring me of my order as I waited. I didn’t even wait that long, they were just conscious I was there and made sure I knew it was coming out soon. My order was wrapped in aluminum foil to help keep it warm.

The place was also very clean and well maintained; clearly an establishment they take pride in. As I sat there waiting for my food they were very active with deliveries and some customers who were sitting in.
