Don't like leaving negative reviews but had to share my experience with Sam's Fish&Chips. This place is close to where I'm staying (less than 5 mins walking) looked alright, reviews looked ok so found it on just eat. £11 for cod made me think twice but I figured its either got to be a massive bit of fish or great quality to justify the price. It was also stated on just eat that fish is skinless. I ordered the fish and some chips. The food arrived about 25 mins later and out of the bag it was cold. As mentioned, the place is 5 mins away so no good reason for it to turn up cold. Chips didn't have any salt and vinegar either, to be fair I didn't state I wanted s&v as there wasn't anywhere on JE to do so, but who doesn't want salt and vinegar on a portion of chips? The infamous £11 fish was not one piece of fish but 3 equally soggy pieces of fish - all with skin on. So neither fish not chips got eaten and I'm still hungry. I contacted restaurant and was told to get a refund through just eat. That's fine, if just eat give me the refund but have to wait days to find out if they will or not. Is this the norm now where restaurants can get orders wrong, serve up rubbish quality food and palm you off to a third party for a refund? I don't live round here so no chance of ordering again but heads up if you are in the area and fancy fish and chips, find...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Sam's Fish and Chips, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Now, let's talk about the food. I can state without any doubt Sam's serves some of the best fish and chips in town.
The batter on the fish was perfectly crispy, giving way to tender, flaky cod that practically melted in my mouth. And the chips? Crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a symphony of flavours that left me craving more.
The staff at Sam's are friendly and attentive.
In conclusion, if you're in the mood for delicious fish and chips served with a side of warm hospitality, look no further than Sam's Fish and Chips. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, one thing's for sure – you won't be...
Read moreI have used Sam's for 7 years and always found the staff and food to be good, several days or so I ordered a donner Kebab, it was unable to eat it, the meat was hard and dry so I put down to a bad day at Sam's.
I have today ordered rock and chips (ROCK) being the correct word the fish was rock hard and hardly any fish once you broke through the skin, I also ordered southern fried chicken and chips, the chicken was so dry it should have been called southern dried chicken again unable to eat it.
I have learned my lesson will Sam's learn theirs, look after your customers had I have been in Sam's to eat they would have had this returned to them.
I have given 2 stars out of respect for the staff, wake up to what your selling your customers have you...
