Sambal Express Colindale — Restaurant in London

I have been a customer of the Sambal Colindale branch since opening. A number of times I had issue with food but when I complain they say manager will call, area manager will call, kitchen staff will call but no one does and no action is taken. Today 21st Nov 2022 I had the same issue. Rang to complain and staff Neelo and Mohan was telling me that manager Thaya will call or area manager will call but no calls yet. Mutton was not cooked properly and was inedible. According to shop staff it is kitchen staff mistake. Nobody apologised, they all just pass the buck. I have left message with the owner, hope he listens to message and responds. I have most of the takeaway left that I bought that was not edible and I will pass this to trading standards in the morning if I don’t get this matter resolved by 9 am in the morning. This is a typical example where the staff are spoiling the small business without the owner being aware of what is happening in their stores during this difficult economic time. Staff should know consumer rights and regulations to protect the business. As far as I am concerned staff in Colindale branch have not been trained on how to serve the food, there is a blame culture practiced to blame other departments so they don’t have to deal with the problem. Lady with glass is Terrible customer service… thick headed and arrogant all over her body.. they are serving string hoppers on boxes that are smelly & gunky. When reported twice abt it their management replied the boxes have been changed and still continue to use same niffy boxes. Informed lady abt this when gone for an order and she like why you smelling the box. Absolutely pathetic l. it’s not her problem I’m told. People pls make sure you check ur contents specially their boxes as they really give out very awful odour that gets to the contents (green boxes) making you feel like throwing out. This kind of thick heads needs to be properly trained and taught better.. NOT GOING into this...

Don’t get me wrong the food is really good, but still we can find hair in the food, plus when we ordered in the past. 5 times has this man mixed up our orders or forgotten items. Only one time I’ve walked back and bought back the incorrect food and then showed them the bill. Luckily this has stopped the last time we ordered from that man. But still at the time it was very annoying, we were forced to eat the incorrect food. Because we lived 10 minutes away on from a hill.
