I recently ordered from Bizim Charcoal Turkish Restaurant and was thoroughly disappointed with both the food and the service. Upon receiving my items, I discovered a strand of hair embedded in the item which was both unappetizing and concerning.
I immediately brought this to the attention of the staff, expecting a prompt and courteous resolution. However, instead of addressing the issue professionally, they insisted that I retrieve the hair from the bin where I had discarded it. This request was both unreasonable and unsanitary, and it demonstrated a lack of basic customer service principles.
Hair contamination in food is a serious matter, often indicating lapses in hygiene practices.
Moreover, the Council advises that while they do not pursue compensation or refunds on behalf of consumers, individuals can contact the company directly or seek legal advice. They also recommend reaching out to Citizens Advice for guidance on consumer rights. 
In the food industry, it’s standard practice to handle such complaints with empathy and professionalism. The Food Standards Agency suggests that businesses should acknowledge the specifics of the complaint, apologize, and detail any changes or improvements to prevent future occurrences. 
Regrettably, Bizim Charcoal’s approach was dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me with no choice but to question their commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. I hope they take immediate steps to improve their hygiene standards and train their staff on proper complaint resolution to prevent future incidents like this.

Read moreIt is not often I am compelled to write a review, but when I question the cost of what seems to me as an over charge (all be it a pound) as it was not explained to me and from previous experience I don't recollect it occurring either and am am met with a rather hostile response i feel i have to review. Doner and shish mixed was ordered, was given the option of rice or chips, was not explained that chips would be a pound extra, when questioned met with hostile response and mutterings, on top of which i had to ask for the rest of my change when they did not have enough in the til to give to me and had to go to a neighbouring shop to get change!!!! On top of which, it infuriates me that shops clearly get away with highlighting they want cash only, when it is the age of the cashless society being upon us, when you can even buy a PDQ machine in Screwfix. Plus having ordered from here before and enjoyed the meals, the portion was not as big as before!!!!! Maybe it was just a way at getting back at me for questioning there pricing policy, when it is not made clear to you at point of ordering or even mentioned anywhere on the board above the counter!!!!!! Read moreWe regularly try out new food places and decided to visit Bizm. After a long and tiring drive, we looked forward to filling our bellies with some nice Turkish food. I ordered a large mix donner with chips as did my hungry companions. Starters arrived, they wasn’t bad and finished very quickly. The main course turned up and the chicken donner was burnt and the lamb donner was dry. I did notice the chef take a new role of chicken donner out so assumed we got the bottom of the barrel. My friend called for the waitress and asked for the chef to remake as was not edible. She went to the chef and he started yelling at her and she walked off into the back upset. I called her after she returned and said mine and my friends was also not edible and she just walked off. Could only assume she didn’t want any more grief from the chef. We walked up to the counter and expressed our complaint and that the mains were not edible and he just looked at us and gave us the bill. No apologies or offering to provide another portion.
