We, me and my friend arrived to this place just past 12pm., sat down and checked the menu and ordered a Large breakfast which is made off ... we were informed that it was not possible because it was past 12pm... so, we had to look again the menu and saw the All-day brunch which was ... of course we added black pudding as we could... I asked for toast because I REALLY WANTED TOAST TO ENJOY IT WITH MY FOOD, sadly, surprisingly and incomprehensibly we were denied because it was past 12pm. Wow! Why does it matter to open the package of ''already'' sliced bread, take it the bread out of the package, insert them into the toaster, press the toaster lever down, let it work itself and take the, now, toasts and put them in a plate??? However, it is quicker to serve it with fries!!! Lol! I don't really understand the policy of Moon under the water or in its case Wetherspoon franchise, do you want to make profit or loose customers (me). We didn't want anything for free, obviously, we were going to pay for them and the labour that it supposes. There were only several customers inside this place, plenty time to do that. We didn't ask for the full breakfast, only for two toasts. The worst was when I went to the toilet to wash my my hands before eating, OH MY GOD! that toilet stank like ''Mexican suburban cantina'', what a stench! I don't know whether the female toilet stinks like that too, but come on. Now I understand why they don't have time to make a toast, they don't even have time to clean the toilet. The most curious thing was that there were three people behind the bar, one in the dinning room cleaning the empty tables and who knows how many in the kitchen? If you really want this to make it work you must make an update and boost your staff because you are taking the wrong way. A free advice from a 15 years hospitality worker in all the areas in a place where we could have nearly 2 million people in 9 days of festival, and all the customers enjoy a great service. Was in last Saturday, it Was lovely Warm, cosy, very clean. I had steak rare , my compliments to the chef, perfect with Peppercorn sauce. Had my Prosseco a bottle, which Dylan who Was serving us, had it placed in bucke With Ice and bought to the table. No complaints at all . My friend had the fish and chips mushy peas thoroughly enjoyed their meal and Sampled a couple of beers Dylan was very attentive to All clients, and also very pretty Iranian lady bought our food over lovely lady. Thankyou great experience. Was in there yesterday Tuesday, I had the steak up to same Standards as Saturday, Connor was serving Us, lovely greeting. Beers were good, my prosseco same. Nice atmosphere Again, bar staff busy cleaning but Connor very aware of when customers needed tending. Once again very clean, Excellent food my friend had fish beautiful taste and batter Was very good. So we will be In Friday for fish night, I'm going to hate leaving my steak, but for A change and it's Friday so fish It is. But I will be having the apple crumble. Had that last year delicious and steak was delicious then. So congratulations to you all, management, you have a good team there. So Connor, Dylan, Iranian lady, don't know if Craig and lee still there Regards to you. I would Say this is going to become my local With friends. Great staff, so cosy And by far one of the best steaks around the Area. Read moreWhilst at the moon under the water, my group of friends and I were subject to discrimination and poor customer service by the manager Nico. We arrived at Moons at 8pm and proceeded to order cocktails and food. At 11pm, 4 of our male black friends also decided to join us. As soon as they sat on our table, Nico (the manager) approached our table and proceeded to notify us that since we had "been here since 5", we were no longer allowed to "order any more drinks". This included the 4 of our male friends that had just arrived. May I reiterate that no one within our group was drunk, not to mention acting drunk or disorderly. Nico saw the 4 extra friends that joined us and did not let them make any orders. Nico also made an assumption that we had been sat at that table since 5pm, and made the decision to not let anyone serve us, despite us being seated by one of his colleagues at 8pm. We were at the table for precisely 3 hours. Would Nico have approached a group of white males, with 20 pints between them, denying them service because they had been sat there for 3 hours? No. Furthermore, the way in which Nico spoke to us after our 4 friends arrived was very patronising and condescending, which is unacceptable.
