I recently visited Saravanaa Bhavan in Southall, London, and it was an experience worth sharing. Despite the bustling atmosphere, with the restaurant packed to the brim, the staff managed to maintain a level of service that was both attentive and efficient. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness and welcoming ambiance of the place, which immediately set the tone for a great dining experience.

My server, Maria, was simply outstanding. She was incredibly attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was flawless from start to finish. Her warm and friendly demeanor made me feel well taken care of, even in such a busy setting. Maria was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, but I had my heart set on the spicy masala dosa.

When the dosa arrived, I was blown away by how perfectly it was prepared. The dosa was crisp on the outside, with a deliciously spiced potato filling inside that packed just the right amount of heat. The accompanying chutneys and sambar were fresh and flavorful, complementing the dish perfectly. It was evident that the ingredients were of high quality, and the flavors were authentic, transporting me straight to South India with every bite.

What stood out to me even more was the value for money. The prices at Saravanaa Bhavan are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality of the food and service. It’s rare to find a place where you feel like you’re getting more than your money’s worth, but this is definitely one of them.

Overall, my experience at Saravanaa Bhavan was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of delicious food, excellent service from Maria, and a clean, welcoming environment makes this restaurant a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in Southall. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates great food at...

Saravanaa is one of my go to places for South Indian food outside India! They are known for their fresh and delicious food, however the Southall branch has kind of let me down with its inconsistency. I have been to their branches in Dubai and India however their branches both in Central London and Southall have let me down. 2 weeks ago I bought home these delicious soft idlis with fresh array of chutneys and half a kilo of boondi ladoos. The ladoos literally reminded me of India, especially during these challenging times nothing could be better than making you feel at home. I loved them so much that I asked my close friend to treat me to the idlis and ladoos for Eid. He kindly agreed to take me and we bought home 2 portions of Idlis and 5 boondi ladoos. Sadly neither of the items tasted like last time. The boondi ladoos looked so different with the boondis looking more like motichoor ladoos and not boondis. When enquired, to my shock I was said that they are the same ladoos and that it's made by Saravaana bhavan itself. I was just not convinced and I returned back to ask the guy at the till again but he too said it's the same ladoos. I'm a South Indian and I know my idlis well, this time the idlis were hard, nowhere close to what I had 2 weeks ago. It looked like the batter was not fermented. Having said that I had another not so good experience with Saravaana when I bought their veg manchurian, they were the size of ladoo, dry n tasteless. I did express my disappointment and they replaced my dish with something else. The two star is for the fresh chutneys...

I visited the Saravana Bhavan restaurant in Southall with my wife and 20 months old daughter this noon. I ordered 4 items and the waitress’s name was Gracy. I ordered cheese dosa for my daughter from the kids menu, veg biryani for the wife and schezwan mushroom cheese dosa for myself along with two samosas and informed the waiter that she could get it altogether. Child’s order was the first to arrive and the mother began to feed her. since we were waiting for the rest of the order to follow we started nibbling on the kids meal as it was quiet big for a child. All of sudden while I was biting I felt like the cheese was getting hard and popped it in a tissue. When checked upon it was a piece of a plastic bag. I spoke to the manager Raj who did apologise but did not seemed much concerned knowing it was the kids meal. He said that he could replace it but we did not want it again and asked him to take it. We had the veg Biryani and samosa but the schezwan mushroom cheese dosa did not arrive till about 1301 hrs. I had to leave and cancel that order when I went to the counter to pay as no one came to me to tell me that it’s taking longer or so. We had placed the order at about 12:35-12:40 hrs. How is it acceptable to find plastic in kids meal? How long does it take to deliver an order? If does take long, why didn’t the waitress acknowledge that? It seems like the staff is so unprofessional and unconcerned. Very very disappointed!!
