Amazing food, even better experience. My boyfriend is Cypriot and he took me to Alex’s and when I say Alex went above and beyond that doesn’t even describe the customer service. I’ve gone back several times since then; every time I’m met with the warmest smile, amazing chat and just fantastic food. If Alex’s can be described as a ‘weird experience’ then I want a ‘weird experience’ every time I go out for food. And what you pay is absolutely what you get. If you want budget prices, expect a budget/low quality meal. But if you want unforgettable food then the prices are more than fair for the amount and the quality of everything Alex’s has to offer. Alex has set the standard for what customer service and the food industry should be. The most genuine lovely owner of anywhere I’ve been to, that on top of the absolutely delicious food is what keeps us coming back time and time again. Keep up the insane work Alex! We’ll definitely be returning again...
Read moreHad the "Dirty Alex". A big beast of a sandwich, like a young Nile crocodile. Contained different meats, egg and halloumi in a great sandwich bread drenched in enough sesame to choke a small mammal. The bread was toasted on the outside but with a yielding centre and each and every member of the main cast on the inside played a distinct role, from the loukaniko sausages to the egg. The sandwich is probably missing some sort of zingy sauce to elevate it to godly status, so unfortunately I can "only" call it an "excellent" sandwich.
Also had some Trahana soup. slightly fermented and lemony flavours. Really unusual flavours but rather tasty. Would recommend. Massive portion though and my mistake was to try and tackle both the sandwich and the soup. I'm writing this review 4 hours later and I still feel pregnant.
The two ladies working there were so lovely...
Read moreI never come on here to write a review but this little sandwich shop deserves a message - super kind and friendly and the best bagel I might have ever had in my life. Seriously. They have a meal deal for students for a free crisps and drink which I was actively encouraged to take, a testament to the staff’s lack of distain for their customers and devotion to creating a pleasant experience even if it was only for a couple of minutes (a short wait time I’ll add) closing the door behind me left me feeling happier after a tiring day and disgusted at the group-think and herd mentality driving customers to corporate establishments like McDonald’s, subway and Burger King - all of which are next door pumping out uninspired processed food. For shame! Thank you for being friendly and...
