Chef Boncuk is hands down the best place I’ve ever eaten at. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The aroma of freshly grilled meats fills the air, and every bite lives up to the mouth-watering scent.
Their Boncuk Köfte is perfection—juicy, flavorful, and full of authentic spices. The Adana, lamb ribs, and chicken wings are grilled to absolute perfection, with that smoky, chargrilled taste that’s impossible to beat. And the sharing platters? Generous, beautifully presented, and packed with variety. Perfect for family or friends.
Every dish tastes like it’s been made with care and passion. You can tell the chefs genuinely love what they do. It’s not just food—it’s a full experience. I’ve eaten at a lot of Turkish and Mediterranean restaurants, but nothing compares to the quality, flavor, and love that goes into every meal at Chef Boncuk.
If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out. This place deserves all the praise. Five stars...
Read moreWent for a Turkish breakfast at a cost of £17.50. I firstly asked for a menu, but the language barrier from the server meant he ordered me this instead, thought no harm I'll give it a go.
I would recommend you don't order this breakfast due to serving size. One piece of sucuk, and one piece of halloumi, a few olives and some other bits. I'm comparing to other Turkish cafes and restaurants where I have had this costing from £12-18. This had to be the smallest serving ive ever seen for the price. The scrambled eggs was actually a sad looking oily omelette and the bread was what is used for kebabs (which when it cools goes chewy).
Overpriced and much better servings and quality elsewhere!
Good point they topped up my Turkish tea for free, but needed my stomach full from the lack of sucuk...
Read moreWe had a lovely dinner here with family last week. The restaurant has recently changed hands and the new owners have done a great job with the decor. It feels warm, stylish, and welcoming, with nice little touches like fresh flowers and soft table lighting.
The food was fresh and full of flavour. We tried the new "Boru Kebab", along with kofta and aubergine kebab — all really tasty and not heavy at all. Everything felt well-balanced and cooked with care. The new head chef clearly knows what he's doing.
The staff were kind and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Southgate area.
Update: We experienced the breakfast as well, and we loved it. Maybe it looks like a usual breakfast, but the taste is overall good quality and...
