Edit: ate in person and the experience was way better. Had the biang biang noodles that had so disappointed when I ordered for delivery and they were delicious. Also had pork soup dumplings, which were sumptuous and delightful, and prawns stir fried in a sweet citrusy Sichuan chilli sauce with peanuts and spring onion which were equally delish.
The service was good too with a nice neighbourhood atmosphere and welcoming staff.
I have upgraded to 4 stars. Leaving short of 5 because of the wild variance between the in person and delivery.
Previous Delivery order: Very underwhelming experience of this via Deliveroo. Bit of a shame as the flavours showed the food could be very tasty but a few pretty basic things made it a real miss.
First of all shown in pictures the crispy pork dish was clearly extremely old. The picture from Deliveroo is what it is advertised as. As shown, what I got was old, cold and tough to the point of inedibility and I did sadly bin it.
The biang biang noodles clearly would have been very nice when served well but my portion was crammed so densely into a container that it had turned to an almost indecipherable cake. I largely had to eat it this way - literally slicing off chunks.
Very poor standard for quite an expensive meal. I can accept that maybe the noodles if freshly made as claimed might suffer from the short journey to my house but the pork is absolutely unacceptable at almost £11!
Hopefully an off day as I can see the reviews are...
Read morePossibly the best Chinese meal I've had. The dumplings were nothing to write home about but the hot dipping sauce was godly and together were amazing. I made sure to keep the sauce and pour it over the egg fried rice, this is a really nice egg fried rice cooked in spring onion with a variety of herbs(I think) making it really stand out. My main was the spicy beef noodle soup and it blew me away. I almost asked for a straw but managed to get every last drop with the spoon. My wife hadn't been feeling great so stuck with the chicken and sweetcorn soup and egg fried rice aiming for bland food and was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavour. I'm not one for Asian deserts but with the dim sum and main such a success I decided to for the traditional sesame desert whilst definitely not my cup of tea I managed to eat over half of it before declaring myself incredibly full. 2 dim sum 2 mains sides 2 pots of tea and deserts for under £60 really well priced. Obviously Sichuan is in general spicy but there are a few more general Chinese options for those who aren't adventurous. Can't wait to go back with a few people to try out the hotpot. Service was good and attentive. The atmosphere...

I’m pleasantly surprised to catch the glorious aroma of Sichuan PoPo, a mix of salty sweet spice, which guides me to the door as if caught by a skilled Chinese fisherman who has saved me from a raging storm in Dong Hai. Good catch sir.
I’m immediately greeted by a dapper steward who, although cordial, is focused and efficient. I’m only seated for a brief phase before I catch his eye. I nod, he nods back, as if congratulating me for achieving a great feat. I order the DanDan, which turns out to be a great feat indeed.
The chefs immediately begin to dance through the kitchen darting through the plumes of steaming broth.
My noodles arrive within minutes. So overwhelmed with amazement I bury my nose and mouth into the dish sending sauce and noodles across the room and onto other patrons tables, everybody eats. I splash my iced green tea all over my face and chest before leaving in disgrace.
The food unmatched, the service exemplary and the ambiance...
