We had a fantastic family day out at Sixes Cricket Club in Fitzrovia!
This spot is a brilliant blend of sport, great food, and a warm, social atmosphere â perfect for families, friends, or even casual get-togethers.
The main attraction is the cricket batting nets, and they did not disappoint. There are five high-tech nets where you face virtual bowlers â the setup is fun, responsive, and easy to get into, even if youâre not a cricket fan. The experience is immersive and energetic, and had all of us laughing, competing, and celebrating those lucky sixes. Itâs very user-friendly for all ages, and the staff were great at explaining how it works.
The vibe of the venue is inspired by traditional cricket clubhouses â cosy, stylish, and welcoming. It doesnât feel like a sports bar or a typical arcade; itâs much more refined but still family-friendly.
Now onto the food â it was surprisingly good! We shared a few dishes: Margherita Pizza: A classic done right with fresh tomato, basil, and fior di latte.
Veggie Fire Pizza: A bold, flavour-packed vegan option with vegan ânduja, roast peppers, red onion, and pesto.
Halal Chicken Burger: This was a standout â crispy panko fried chicken breast with American cheese, gherkins, tomato, lettuce, shallots, and their signature burger sauce. Served with skinny fries â delicious and satisfying.
Halal Chicken & Chips: Perfect for the kids, with crispy chicken fingers and fries â simple but well-executed.
There are also arcade games, large screens with Sky Sports, and free Wi-Fi, so there's something to keep everyone entertained between turns in the nets or while waiting for food.
Overall, Sixes Fitzrovia offers a unique and engaging experience in the heart of London. You donât need to be a cricket enthusiast to enjoy it â itâs all about having fun, trying something new, and sharing good food and laughs. Highly recommended for families looking to do something a little different. We'll...

We booked this place for a friends birthday (8 of us). When we arrived 30 mins before our booking we sat down for a drink and noticed they did pints in âwicketsâ which are self pour big plastic tubes. We ordered these with some other drinks and then nothing showed up for 15 minutes, we went and asked what was happening and they said theyâre is no big tubes available at the moment and that weâd need to wait 45 minutes. Obviously we werenât going to wait 45 mins just to drink our pints from a tube but no one came to tell us there was none available, instead just assuming we wouldnât want our drinks in the meantime. We then had to go to the bar again and asked for just the pints which seemed to confuse them. Eventually the drinks turned up but the soft drinks were all flat, Went to tell this to the girl who signed us in who didnât look bothered, then another member of staff went to get us some more (this took another 10 minutes) A full 40 mins from arriving before we got all our drinks. We then didnât start the cricket until 30 minutes after our assigned booking (which meant we had to cancel other plans), how they can ever run late on a timed game like this I have no idea? Anyway the game itself was fine but about 3/4 of the way through the balls ran out and needed refilling, however only the staff can do this and by the time it was done weâd lost 5 mins of our hour playing time (equivalent to a tenner) with them unable to pause the game. All staff I came across were rude, obnoxious and just downright miserable. When it came to paying the bill the barman looked annoyed when I took off the service charge. Horrendous customer service and a pretty bad experience, Flight Club and Clays are much better...
Read moreDinner and nets: this was a really fun night, was just a couple of us , place was pretty lively as it was also a Uefa Cup football match. I thought it might be just a sports bar in terms of food but it was really good, we had some small plates, the sausage roll was almost all meaty filling, which I love, and super good value for money, some mac n cheese balls, some smoked salmon which was nicely done with capers and olive oil toast. I had the cod filet after that, with absolutely great triple cooked chips. Took a bit too long to come which wasnât ideal but on this occasion I didnât mind and probably more to do with the fact that everyone in the room ordered just before the match . Also a good selection of wines by the glass. Then went to play cricket, I am hopeless but it was great fun. Had a Whisky sour to comfort me while I watched my friend hit three sixes in a row, and laughed a lot. The bar area is nicely done, all polished and elegant, full cocktail menu and large numbers of table service staff, so we had a margherita each and rounded out the evening nicely. Really good food, lots of space and hugely entertaining, and not a grass stain in sight! I would recommend even if you have no interest in cricket like me, and I want to bring some work colleagues for the mini beer kegs...
