I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening with quite a large group. We had a 6 year old and a 2 year old in our company also. My mother in law had visited in the past and said it was a nice restaurant to visit. Unfortunately I would disagree. As we arrive luckily there was another large party leaving so we waited about 10-15 mins to be seated. The food was lovely and the portions large. However the atmosphere in the restaurant was lacking. It felt like the restaurant was overfilled with tables and was quite cramped. The wait staff seemed to be uninterested in us. No help with the menu and we were left for quite a while before our order was taken. When we did order the food took a long time to arrive. I ordered a prawn dish and they arrived with the shell on. As the dish had a rich sauce, I kindly asked the waiter if the chef could remove the shell as I had my hands full with my 2 year old who was tired and hungry by this point. I was told that the Chef had a shellfish allergy and he couldn't... Overall I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as young family friendly. There are no baby changing facilities or pram storage areas. And the staff don't seem to particularly care for toddlers. I saw couples and small adult groups that seemed...
Read moreWent with my Husband and Mum when visiting London, staying just around the corner at the Holiday Inn, Regent's Park. Firstly, the service was great. They were a little rushed it seemed (or maybe just focused), but still very friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for anything. The food was delicious! Between us, for starters, we had Bruschetta and Mozzarella Alla Carozza. All fresh ingredients. To emphasize... the mozzarella was FRESH! Not a cheese stick in sight! WOW! For mains we had Spaghetti Al Ragu Di Cinghiale (Wild boar bolognese), Risotto Al Porcini and Spaghetti Alla Carbonara. I can't explain how delicious each dish was! The desserts were amazing too! I went for the cheeseboard as I don't really like sweet things, but I tried my Husband's Profiterole and my Mum's vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, and would definitely have one of those next time! Unfortunately, I'm not in London all that often, but I'll definitely make a point of seeking out this restaurant, wherever I'm staying, for a dinner, at least! Oh, and it was GREAT value for money. Without wanting to throw money away, I actually think you get better than what...
Read moreNestled in the heart of London, this Italian gem exudes an inviting charm, drawing in customers even on a bustling Tuesday afternoon.
From the moment you step inside, the ambiance captivates with its warm hues and rustic décor, transporting you to the cobbled streets of Italy.
Despite the midday rush, the attentive staff ensure every diner feels welcomed and attended to.
As for the food, while there's no denying the potential, it falls short of perfection.
Take, for instance, the seafood linguine a tantalising spectacle for the eyes with its vibrant colors and aromatic allure.
However, the star ingredient, the crevette, disappoints with its overcooked, grainy texture, leaving much to be desired.
It's a culinary letdown amidst an otherwise commendable menu.
In summary, this restaurant shows promise, but refinement is needed to truly shine.
With a bit of finesse in the kitchen, it has the potential to elevate its offerings from good to exceptional, ensuring customers leave not just satisfied, but...
