The last review I left this place I left good reviews however, my most recent visit to this cafe was not the case. Standards have taken a hit in this cafe which is such a shame because for years I have held this cafe in such high esteem. Last I went with my mother and sister & even though we ordered the cheapest things the bill was too high considering what we ordered. The prices are too high in that cafe and for the quality of food which has dropped from my previous visit before my most recent has plummeted really isn't worth your money. My quarter pounder was damn near tasteless & the chips diddn't seem as fresh or appealing as they once were. To top it off the astray outside the cafe badly needed to be emptied as it was so bad to the point that the ash was blown all over the table which people are served food and are expected to eat on.....😐. Also the staff allowed a woman who I see comes in there regularely is just coughing her guts out without covering her mouth let alone ordering anything. This is very off putting and can be a disturbance even though it does not take much to just cover your mouth or leave if you are not buying anything as it is around food. Hygiene standards have slipped in that cafe which is such a shame really and not good enough. Changes and regulations need revaluation and...
Read moreThis cafe is not called Skyline. It is called Lemonade now. And remember the phrase that Romeo from 'Romeo and Juliet' said, i.e "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"...well, the cafe is almost as good as it was when it was called Skyline, apart from the bubble and squeak. It doesn't taste the same as it did before, but I don't blame the chef. After all, I have been coming here from time to time with my family and some friends for years, and they do decent breakfasts and nice food, and they treat their customers kindly. My elderly dad used to come there when he was alive to have a cup of tea, a sandwich, and to read the paper, and he was not asked to leave even though he sometimes stayed there a long while talking with other old people and sometimes with the staff. The place is wheelchair accessible, has a little terrace at the back and a couple of tables at the front, and it has tasteful decor inside. I would recommend it for a visit, and will continue to visit here for years to come! Two tips: Tip 1- if you like your tea strong, ask for it, otherwise it will come to you and taste a bit insipid. Tip 2- go for white bread and butter instead of toast with breakfast. You will see why...

Their freshly squeezed orange juice is amazing, goes good with breakfast too give it a try.
