To whom it may concern. I’m extremely angry and annoyed about the terrible customer service I experienced at this shop. According to their online information, they were supposed to be open until 8 o'clock, but when I arrived at around 7:45, the doors were already shut. I rang them before and mention that iam on my way and the guy over the phone said sorry i cannot help. I mean what sort of business do that. Despite clearly seeing me outside, no one made the effort to open the door or even acknowledge me. I had things I urgently needed to buy like 10kgs of mix sweet and was stuck in traffic badly as there was so many road works going on, i was being turned away like that was not only frustrating but honestly felt disrespectful. It was a shocking and disappointing experience — the kind that leaves a bad taste and makes you think twice about trusting any information from that business again. For a store to treat a customer like that, especially when they claim to still be open, is not just unprofessional but harmful to their reputation. It's the kind of experience that sticks with you, and not in a good way. I had business aswell across central london and our closing timming is 7:00 and we dont close our doors to the customers before this time. Such a worse experience i had. Not going there again and will recommend others too instead go Nirala...
Read moreThe sweets here are a decent style, however the flavour and quality is coarse and less refined for a connoisseur.
Packaging and presentation are great including ready packed tins and boxes of various savouries. Jalebis are very thick and not fine and translucent, sweets with khoya lack good binding and moisture, ready samosas are also dry and the sauce is terrible. The chat on the other hand is refreshing and tasty. Use of dried milk powder, flavouring and colour dyes instead of genuine additives in the preparation unfortunately spoil the taste of these Asian sweets.
The shop is clean and well kept, items are presented well. Cleanliness appears to be reasonable and staff were observed using gloves to handle food appropriately. Slow service at times and is popular with the local Pakistani community.
Overall a decent sweet shop in keeping with the average quality of sweets in the London area but lacking true Halwai quality...
