I went to this restaurant with friends for lunch last Sunday. We ordered three Sunday roasts - two chicken and one gammon roasts, plus one seafood pasta. Sunday roast was a delightful experience. The slate presentation was both unique and visually appealing, setting the tone for the meal. The roast chicken was perfectly cooked, with a golden, crispy skin that contrasted beautifully with the tender, juicy meat. Each bite was flavourful, enhanced by a subtle seasoning that didn't overpower the dish. The roast gammon was beautifully cooked. It was tender and packed with flavour, showcasing the quality of the meat. As for the seafood pasta, the sauce was a standout feature while the pasta itself was indeed lovely in texture. Overall speaking, Slate & Grain Brassiere & Bar, with great food and cosy atmosphere, is a wonderful place for fine dining which infuses the best of both western and Indian...

The place is simply special. The staff performed beyond my expectations on our business meeting, training and dinner for 12 people. We have been taken care of the whole day by two members of staff who were more than happy to help with various needs we might possibly have for the whole day.

They prepared meeting room, dining room, with very high standards and amazing beautiful interiors, not mentioned about delisious food!!

We have been treated like VIP's for the whole day. The owners are very cooperative and I am happy to recommend this venue for variety of events from business meetings to privet gathering.

There is also huge terrace with tables so you can use it as well!

Awful. Awful. Awful. That about sums this place up.

Booked for tonight (Saturday) for 5 people. Arrived and were seated by a 9 year old child.who did the best job of the night.

We waited ages to place our order. Then were told they didn't have most of the drinks on the menu

After an hour we had received nothing. Only to watch some of the drinks we had been told they didn't have being delivered to the private function room.

We gave up in the end, and went to The Grange where the service was incredible, the food was great and the atmosphere lively.
