Avoid Somunnan Korean Restaurant at All Costs!

I rarely write reviews, but I feel it’s necessary after my awful experience at Somunnan Korean Restaurant. I went in excited for some authentic Korean cuisine, but it was an absolute disaster.

I ordered the Korean-style chicken wings, which were overwhelmingly sweet to the point of being inedible. But that wasn’t even the worst part — the chicken had a terrible smell, and it was obvious that it was either stale or old. The food quality was shockingly poor, and nothing tasted fresh. The wings seemed like they had been sitting out for far too long. When I raised the issue with the staff, they basically shrugged it off and claimed that only two wings weren’t okay. He ripped open all of them to find another gone off wing. Are you serious? That’s not how a reputable restaurant operates!

The chef was incredibly rude and dismissive when I complained, offering no apology or even an attempt to make it right. It’s clear they have no regard for food standards, customer satisfaction, or hygiene. If this is their idea of “good food,” I’d rather go anywhere else.

This place is a disgrace, and I will never be coming back. I’d strongly advise anyone to steer clear of Somunnan if they value fresh, quality food and decent customer service.

The mix of halal sausage, noodles, tofu, and vegetables blended beautifully together, making every spoonful satisfying.It’s not easy to find authentic Halal Korean food, but Somunnan really delivers. The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere, with friendly staff who are attentive and welcoming. They were happy to explain the menu and adjust the spice level to my preference, which made the experience even better.The presentation of the dishes was spot on, and the portion sizes were generous for the price.
