St James Tavern 📍45 Great Windmill St, Soho, London, W1D 7NE 🚇 Piccadilly Circus 🍺 £5.80 Hop House 13 ❤️ This Handsome pub is just off Piccadilly Circus in the heart of the west end and as pub architecture goes, this pub is right up there with the best looking pubs in London. Inside it’s fairly compact and cosy and due to it’s location it was very busy with people grabbing a bite to eat. There were a few punters sat around the bar having a drink but this pub is predominately set up to take advantage of the passing hungry tourist, lapping up the fish and chips. There was a good atmosphere here and a nice cosmopolitan buzz about the place as you here the many different accents of the clientele. I sat next to old boy puzzling over a crossword and enjoying a lunchtime pint, he was proudly wearing a poppy on his jacket, occasionally he would look up peering over the top of his glasses every time the door opened as if to say “who’s that? “. . So reflecting on my visit I have slightly mixed feelings about this pub. Yes it’s elegant on the outside and looks beautiful which draws you in and the atmosphere was nice too, but for me this boozer lacks a bit of soul and character. Worth a visit? Yes, pubs appeal to people in different ways. So why not pop in after a shopping visit one day. . 📊 Information correct on...

If there was 0 points, I would give it. When we went in the evening, we encountered incredibly rude treatment from a bald bartender. Even though there were only 2 people in front of us, he was able to take our order in 10 minutes (the ones front of us only bought 2 beers). I've never seen anyone working this slow before. Then I asked for still water in a closed bottle. He took out an open bottle and gave it to me. When I said I wanted a closed bottle, he said again that this is the style of this place. We said very calmly that we should return the water then. He took the water and hit it hard on the table. He got angry at us because he said we don't know the rules. We told him to calm down and respect our decision. Then he said it is enough he wasn't selling us anything and that he would return our beer and kick us out. When I said we want to talk with your manager, he said "I'm the manager I'm kicking you out now" and went to call security. It's a place I will never go to because of its completely...

First of all, the foods and atmosphere was good. While we were drinking, one guy who has a big paper on his hand came to our table and tried to talk me. I and my friends couldn’t understand what he was talking about. He looked like a homeless. We said thank you and he walked away from us. We couldn’t understand the situation and don’t care at all. But I saw the guy went outside and got into the car. It looked weired and I realized that my iphone missed. I panicked and talk the waiter. She said it was very common(!) and went to check the camera records. After that, she said yes, the guy stole the phone. Finally, this place is not safe. Although we were sitting inside, someone can come and stole your stuff easily. The bad side is, they already know about that but they dont do anything. It was a terrible day for me. If you will go there, you should be carefull and keep your stuff on your eyes, because the snatchers come along...

A Top Pub in the Heart of Piccadilly – Consistently Excellent This pub is a true gem, perfectly located in the heart of Piccadilly. The bar staff are always helpful, accommodating, and incredibly well organised – they really know how to keep things running smoothly, even when it's busy. There’s a great selection of beers and drinks to choose from, and everything is kept clean, tidy, and welcoming. The added benefit of using the Mixer app makes things even more convenient. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it never disappoints. A big well done to all the team – keep up the fantastic work!
