I would have given 0 stars but 1 is the lowest. I came here in a morning, and ordered a £4 hot chocolate and waited. First it was a long wait EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS ONE OTHER PERSON THERE!!! I was asked for a flake arrogantly for the young male behind the till and I said yes. The worst part hasn’t came yet, so after that they gave me a dirty cup and my whipped cream was unappetising as there was a stain on the circumference of the cup which was unpleasant and then they gave me a flake that had touched by a whole knows how dirty it was and then used his bare hands to pick up the flake without gloves. Who knows if I had drank the hot choc I would have gotten Covid I then left that dirty hot chocolate on the benches as I care for my health unlike this business. I am so unhappy about this experience and they should keep gloves. Someone needs to teach this business as they are not caring about the customer service/experience they are trying to rip off people. My friend had recommended this filthy box saying it was a good cafe for a rest in the park but it is the opposite. I WILL NOT Recommend THIS PLACE. Staff are not nice as stated above as it might be racially motivated but who knows about what else the shop front hides to the people.

Waited 18 minutes before a bacon baguette was not told that there was a wait and when I suggested that they should’ve advised people before they ordered that they would be a Wait I was told whatever! Rudest people will not be giving them a penny ever again. It’s a shame as it’s a lovely Park and they have the potential to be a successful business. They’re just rude to customers and shout at everyone Because the kids serving mixing up everybody’s orders and then being rude to the customers. The baguette was cheap & nasty meat bad qualit & bread was what you part bake at home!

Out for a run on a hot day with no bank cards or money, mistake granted…… I asked them for some water for the dog to which they responded that the tap water wasn’t for drinking… Poor fella is parching here, completely unnecessary and frankly quite cruel

Interesting to see other reviews suggesting that the staff who run it are rude…. We got accused of trying to steal chips after asking for 4 drinks and 1 fries because the owner was too old and deaf to hear me ask for chips. Then another worker who was as rough as you like came over with an awful attitude suggesting that my partner had stolen them after they came out with some fries. My friend replied and said “no they asked for chips”. The worker replied rudely again. Who would try to steal chips and then continue to sit in front of the cafe??? The old woman who argued that I did not ask for fries, also clearly has a brain cell missing because she said “no you asked me if we sell fries” so instead of giving us attitude, you’d think someone savy in customer service would consider the possibility that maybe there was a communication error rather than assume they had been stolen. Or maybe, the customer did ask for fries but it wasn’t heard (which did happen). Anyway we proceeded to pay for the fries after I confronted the staff who told us not to worry about it. But I insisted because surprisingly enough I can afford a couple of quid for some fries. Awful, rude staff which is such a shame for a cafe in an really...

Inside large parts of the baked potatoes were off colour and tasted foul, but when I took it back the lady just shook her head and said no, that's what they're supposed to taste like. Being on the older side I pointed out I've had them all my life and they never looked or tasted like that, which got me a begrudging swap to a baguette. This was nothing special but edible. Service was incredibly rude and impatient from the start when I was told there's no tuna and I had to come up with an alternative almost immediately, despite no queue. Then one lady tried to deny my chips order at first, until the other came to my rescue. They don't like card payments but having the transaction in the banking app seems advisable. The coffee was an undrinkable bilge. I don't expect much from a park cafe (although many are surprisingly good these days), but this one is absolutely the pits and ruins a nice park. Do yourself a favour and bring a picnic or go elsewhere. (I couldn't figure out the high star rating, but some reviews seem to be for the park and...
