I felt compelled to write a review on my visit to Lal Akash in Cheam Village last Friday, in a party of 4. We went in early, at around 6.30pm and the restaurant was dead and smelt way too heavily of incense.
Service was prompt and efficient. The dips you get with poppadoms don't seem a big deal, but the 6 dips we got here were the best I've had. You had your usual mango chutney, mint yoghurt and lime pickle, but there were 2 others - a spicey chutney pasta and a pea purree that was unreal. Top stuff!
Mains were tandoori mixed grill, chicken madras, chicken korma, and a weird chicken and lychee dish that the grandad in our group went for. All perfectly cooked and got to say the naan breads were done exactly how naans should be done. Soft and fluffy with the right amount of filling.
They only do beer in bottles.

We have 4 year old twin boys, who love having 'boys nights' with daddy here! their favourite dish is the Chicken Begum Bagaar - it's my favourite too. If you are looking for a clean, relaxed and reasonably priced restaurant for your next meal out, this is my...

I would recommend this place to anyone & everyone. Plus their prices are reasonable too. Thank you to Lal akash, once again you've always been a great...
