Tabla Restaurant — Restaurant in London

The night started off good. Service started off good. DJ was pleasant and accommodating. Food was also good.... BUT midway through the dancing there was a PHYSICAL FIGHT..This is not the fault of the venue but the way they dealt with those involved was disgraceful. GLASSES THROWN at the front of the restaurant where young children were present even in buggies. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED if the desi idiots who can't handle their drink were thrown out as soon as tensions rose. I was casually told by staff this was not the first time there was violence at Tabla, the last time there was a fight the DJs equipment was thrown across the dancefloor. At the end of the night there was a glass broken on the dancefloor within full sight and reach of the security guard he WAS PETRIFIED AND DID NOTHING. NOT SAFE & DO NOT TAKE KIDS !

After the fight and understandably so the SERVICE DETERIORATED.

I would not recommend...

We had family over from West Sussex last night. We planned on eating out but hadn't decided where. I called Tabla and they were happy to accomodate us at short notice.

As it was a weekday and so soon after Christmas there weren't to many customers. We were greeted with a warm welcome and given the option to choose our seating area.

The menu was not over complicated, well layed out allowing us to make a choice without wasting too much time trying to decide what to eat.

We ordered drinks and a Mixed Grill starter which was absolutely delicious. The mains was cooked to perfection and of reasonable portions.

Towards the end of the evening we were the only ones there but what my family and I particularly noticed was that the waiters did not rush us in any way nor did they hover over us as you would normally expect to happen.

Well done and thank you Tabla for ensuring my family and I had lovely dining experience...

Unprofessional and bad service

Our visit this evening to tabla restsurant in ilford was such a nightmare. When we booked table to celebrate my friends birthday we were told there was DJ, walked in it was a empty dead place and the manager or supervisor had no clue what he is doing. Served wrong orders, some dishes were really bad, ladies who served food cannot understand what we said, At 10.15 while we were eating the supervisor said we are going to close the restsurant in 10 mnts no dj today, kitchdn will be closed also. I saw few cockroaches running under the chair too, We wanted to complaint to the management the owners son was very rude and said this is how we run the restaurant its the management decision to cancel dj and close early. You do whatever you wish. If he has this attitude good luck for him to get more customers. Expect the council visit soon...
