Dear Management Team, Upon entering your establishment, I was warmly greeted by a friendly staff member behind the till. She was polite and smiled as she took my order. When it came time to pay, I handed her a Scottish £20 note, which I had withdrawn during a recent trip to Edinburgh. The note was legal tender, freshly taken from a cash machine. To my surprise, I was informed that Scottish notes were not accepted as per store policy. I was quite taken aback by this, as they are legal tender and should be accepted without issue. Despite my insistence, the staff member remained professional and polite while explaining the policy and I have no complaints about her handling of the situation. I then asked to speak with the manager. Initially, she was also polite and professional. However, when I questioned why legal Scottish Sterling was being refused, she explained that the store had been scammed previously and therefore chose not to accept Scottish notes. I found this response rather offensive, as it indirectly suggested that I was attempting something dishonest. To be clear, my overall experience in your restaurant was positive and my comments are not a reflection on the staff, who were courteous and professional throughout however, I would suggest that additional training for the management team could be beneficial, perhaps equipping them with tools like UV lights or counterfeit detector pens to handle situations like this more effectively. That’s the end of my rant. Have a great day! 😊

Tag has always been the go to spot for me and my friend to meet up as it is quite local and very charming. I frequent this café quite often and without fail, I am met with the most sweet and caring staff every time. Their food and drinks are absolutely delicious and they have a lot of vegetarian/vegan options too. My favourite snack is the raspberry croissant- it's perfect for breakfast or just as a pick-me-up. I also love how the drinks change according to the season and how creative the staff are with their flavours. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it feels like a second home. It feels spacious and energetic, especially with the addition of fairy lights on the ceilings. The biscoff pancakes from the new menu were 8/10. It is was light enough that you don't feel stuffed afterwards but not too light that it would leave you feeling dissatisfied or still hungry. There was just the right amount of biscoff sauce and the crumbs added a nice crunchy flavour. The only improvement I might suggest is to serve the pancakes with a larger serving of whipped cream or some berries on the side so that the pancakes aren't too dry by the end. Overall, this is the perfect dream café to meet with friends, study or to just take a break. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love coming to Tag, it’s the heart of the community in Eastcote and you always receive a warm welcome, no matter which of the wonderful staff members are behind the counter that day! There is a huge choice of food and drink, and I’ve not found anything I haven’t enjoyed yet! Today we tried the new brunch menu and it didn’t disappoint! Plentiful avocado on toast with delicious chilli jam and then some delicious (but not too sweet) biscoff pancakes! Tag is a family friendly venue which is always buzzing with people in a great atmosphere, they also frequently support the local schools and put a smile on everyone’s faces! Highly recommend!

A true local gem! I lived in the area when it opened and knew even during lockdown when they could only offer to-go service that it would be something special, and TAG has gone from strength to strength since then. Out of many options (including large chains) it immediately became the preferred spot for my household to grab a quick drink and a treat to take away or to sit in and having something to eat. After moving halfway across the country, I still haven't found a place that rivals TAG and whenever I'm near London I make a detour to experience the positive atmosphere and wonderful selection of food and drinks on offer. I have brought many people from all over the UK and even some from across the pond and everyone has been blown away by the offerings, which are both varied and very reasonably priced for the size and quality. The vegetarian options are fantastic and dietary information is available for people with restrictions. The menu includes seasonal items including not just drinks but freshly made sandwiches and baked goodies so there's always something new and exciting to try as well as the classic favourites. The range of TAG tea lattes are a must try, pairing excellently with treats like the chocolate banana bread and I haven't found a better espresso brownie anywhere else!

If the amazing menu wasn't enough, the staff are welcoming and friendly, as well as managing good turnaround times for even large orders of food and drinks. The owner (Hov) is a shining example of what it means to be a community minded local business owner, his passion for his work and his community is evident in everything he does and he attracts staff that share his enthusiasm. If you're looking for a local business that offers a tasty menu with hospitality that makes you feel like you're visiting an old friend, then you simply must make a...

Immersed in a lovely atmosphere, this place exudes a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly puts you at ease. The friendly staff members greet you with genuine smiles and a welcoming demeanor, making you feel right at home from the moment you step inside.

Now, let's talk about their cortado – a beverage that can truly be described as a masterpiece. Crafted with meticulous care and expertise, each cortado is a work of art. The balance between the rich, velvety espresso and the perfectly steamed milk is simply impeccable. Every sip delights your palate with a harmonious fusion of flavors, leaving you craving for more.

The beauty of their cortado lies in its ability to satisfy without overwhelming. It's as if the recipe has been perfected to create the ideal balance, ensuring that you can indulge in multiple servings without ever feeling like you've had too much. Each sip is a delight to your taste buds, and you find yourself returning to the counter, eager to experience the exquisite combination of coffee and milk once again.

In addition to the exceptional cortado, the overall experience at this place is enhanced by the attentiveness and warmth of the staff. They go above and beyond to ensure that your visit is enjoyable and memorable. Whether you have questions about the menu or simply need a friendly chat, they are always ready to assist with a genuine smile.

So, if you're seeking a delightful atmosphere, accompanied by a friendly staff who create a welcoming environment, this place is an ideal destination. And remember, when it comes to their cortado, there's no such thing as overdosing – you'll be captivated by its flavors, always leaving you longing for...

I visited TAG as they are marketed as “top ten businesses in the UK” , which really stood out for us. After visiting , I can firmly state that this establishment is unfortunately far from great let alone one of the best”. Firstly , the “award” isn’t from a well known organisation or governing body so it loses all its credibility once researched. I’m guessing this place uses it for marketing purposes, however, I would call it false advertising!

The coffee was extremely bitter and left quite an unpleasant taste in the pallet. The atmosphere and decor resembles that of a school cafeteria with prices that are ludicrously high for the quality you receive. What frustrated us the most was how the marketing makes you believe everything is “freshly made” and “made in house” , yet every single item of food we had or saw here seemed to be pre made and highly processed. (think subway meat and Sainsbury’s sandwich fillers) For the price you pay it definitely should be fresh or made in house. I understand some independently owned coffee shops do not have the facilities to cook in house, however when an eatery charges high end prices they at the very least should use a supplier with high quality ingredients / items. If you desire fresh barrister coffee with freshly made sandwiches and cakes that are made fresh and in house then this is not the place for you.

The one positive to TAG was that the staff were very friendly and attentive and the place was spotless.

To summarise: Tag seems to be the coffee shop equivalent of Subway delivering fast food quality items at a premium price, serving average coffee in a mediocre...
