Taste of Lahore — Restaurant in London

So last night we decided to try this place after viewing the Facebook Reels his establishment has been putting up recently. And oh boy what an utter disappointing experience.

Now there’s a reason why places like these are going on social media and that’s because they are CRAP!!!

As a foodie, me and my wife like trying different places. We traveled all the way from Coventry. The place is not your high end restaurant, more like a quick take-a-way/eat it kind of place. Cutlery cheap and dirty, toilets dirty. No drinks for the kids! Not a good start.

So out comes the food which was quick so I’ll give them that. Ordered chick nuggets/fries for the kids and waiter says they ran out of kids drinks. Went next door and got my kids a capri sun from the shop next door. Lamb Sheek kebabs were nice and comes on a sizzler, however no chutneys or sauces! Now the mains I got was Haleem and lamb Karahi.

Haleem was absolutely tasteless. I’ve had Haleem in lots of places and this was by far the worst. And I mean absolutely no taste whatsoever. You’re literally eating gloop! Comes with a plate of garnishes but event that didn’t help.

Lamb karahi was not the best but edible. The lamb was tender which was nice however I wouldn’t call it a karahi more like a standard lamb curry.

Next day, woke up with stomach cramps and spending most of my morning in the toilet, cursing myself on why did I go there and listening to my wife’s “I told you not to go there speech”!

Overall, never again!!! Again this is why establishments like these are making reels and going on social media and thats to get people into the place.

If you want real food and flavors, trust me, go to Hawelis or Lahori Masala both which are in Southall. Much better food and flavors. You will definitely taste the difference.

People…you have been warned.

Firstly, you cant tell who works there, no staff are at sight need to keep getting up if you want somthing , very unproffesional service , did not feel comfortable asking for anything i wanted they seem very rushed , as soon i finished giving my food order that i had to call someone for she just went off didnt wait till i ordered drinks, just walked off after hearing my order without saying okay or thankyou anything else , then when i askd if they have fresh passion again went off didnt let me finish my order, my soup arrived after all the mains so i didnt end up having it. It is silly they have a chinise cusine on uber that comes from here but they dont serve it in store. They dont give you a receipt for the bill, just tell you the amount maybe for tax purposes , dont bother asking how was everything , I had to tell the short lady in glasses what type of containers and foil for naan to get me for my takeaway silly women told me to put my naan in the white plastic carrier bag with the other food in silver containers , my soup in a small foil container which would not fit. Service reallly let my experience down although the men might have been abit better the man with grey hair abit old was quite good hes the only one that smiled. Food was decent wish...

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at 'Taste of Lahore.' We ordered chicken karahi, sheesh kebabs, and tandoori naan, expecting a pleasant meal. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.

Firstly, the food was served at different intervals, which disrupted our dining experience. The sheesh kebabs arrived first, but they were hard and clearly microwaved. Being hungry around 2:30 pm, we reluctantly ate them despite their poor quality.

Fifteen minutes later, the chicken karahi arrived. It was an unappetizing dish of old, reheated chicken that was mostly bones and completely tasteless. When we brought this to the manager's attention, he insisted that this was how chicken karahi was supposed to be. Even when we showed him the pot full of bones, he remained adamant that there was nothing wrong with the dish.

This was not only a disappointing dining experience but also a health hazard. We suffered from food poisoning that same night and were ill for several days afterward.

Overall, our visit to 'Taste of Lahore' was a horrible and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food and a pleasant...
