This council is manned by totally inept staff members and managers who refuse to talk to any resident over the phone because they are hiding underneath their desks for fear of being abused by the public for total incompetence. Their front line staff who handle calls are completely ignorant and rude and have no powers to resolve any issue. Their website is rubbish, you are told to submit documents and complaints online and nothing happens. The dullards promise to call you back but never do, they send out summons for unpaid council tax without justification and then appear in their hordes at Willesden Magistrates Court to resolve the issues before the magistrates hear it. Total stupidity, all they have done is to shift the problem from their own premises to the Magistrates court forcing individuals to waste time and money travelling to the court just to present their defence. This council needs a complete clear out, sack everyone and hire people who are willing to do the job properly and interact with the public that they serve. Shame on you Harrow Council, dealing with those enormous rats in the Borough only after it was publicised on national TV news - you guys need to get off your backsides now and provide the service that you have been hired for because believe it or not, you are all public servants being paid out of our taxes. You need to realise that you are in your jobs to serve us the residents of Harrow, not harass us and frustrate us. Ridiculous that our tax payers money is being used to pay these non deserving idiots their monthly salaries. Just look at the huge number of complaints in addition to mine and still nobody in the Council can be bothered to apologise and improve their miserable service. I would rate this council zero stars if Google allowed it.

Hello I was declared homeless on 20 May 2025 and on 27 June 2025 I was forced by the officer in charge of my case to move to a house in the Kilburn area where the rent costs £1500 / month and I have health problems and I have not been advised by any state institution to apply for other benefits that I am eligible for I only have universal credit which is £1353 / month. I would like to draw the attention of those who run this social welfare service that in this situation I have no way to pay the amount of £1500 / month rent and still have the money to pay for electricity and daily food which he cannot live on. I am suffering from schizophrenia, sciatica, lumbar disc degeneration and cervical spondylosis. I would like to draw attention to state institutions and those who provide social assistance to vulnerable people to understand that this system is not help and is causing long-term psychological and emotional destruction. This way of helping pushes me to go to stores to steal food or beg people on the street to help me with money so I can pay my rent and have money for food.

While visiting my terminally ill aunt in the UK, I hired a car. I was told by family/Uber drivers etc to park on curb due to narrow roads. I did this, like everyone else around me. During my stay. I ended up in Harrow/Hatch End briefly. It was urgent, I parked quickly in a quiet street and went inside. Within 2 minutes I got a very expensive parking fine for having my tyre up on the pavement. I checked there was room for wheelchair/pram access. I parked like this as that's how everyone parks where I was staying, we don't park like that in Australia! I requested a review of the fine from Harrow Council/Parking and got a lengthy email re: not parking on curb and how you can only do so if there are signs. I've never seen a sign saying to park on the curb, despite everyone around me doing it. See images. Won't return to Harrow. I'd heard they love to raise money via parking fines, but thought I'd parked correctly. Nope. They got me, within 2 minutes!

Request for mind attention and investigation Criminals alerts inside HARROW COUNCIL. POLICE and all Political Parties Members Of Parliament please be aware of Anti-social Offensive thieves in inside HARROW Council. My traumatised horror experienced by the Housing Deparetment two Criminals Offenders. I was vulnerable with my dependent Child to found rental properties. Was homeless so MP advised me to put HOMELESS APPLICATION forms. Submitted all paper documents but surprisingly my main BRP ID HOME OFFICE RESIDENTS PERMIT CARD was missing by the two Anti-social Offensive Criminals gangs Officers thieves. One was English Curley hair old female and other one was Indian female together they stolen my BRP Card. Totally not bothered MP or POLICE Officers because of really hard to investigated and recognised them as guilty Offenders. They are too super powerful Anti-social Offensive Criminals so they was out of reach even though they together committed serious Crimes. Had taken Scanned purposes all documents inside the room afterwards didn't given back my BRP Redidence Permit Card. Adviced me to called HOME OFFICE and asked new BRP. Both of them Aggressive faces why HOME OFFICE given me Residentence Permits. Used their Power's against the Laws against the Government and against humanity Public services. Main BRP CARD Stolen was so hard to found rental property aswell without proof of Residency. Paid fees again, lost or stolen BRP CARD received few months later replacement BRP. Suffering and struggling, anxiety, stress, depression causes by the harmful Council Services. Would that any Government can provide safe, secure, reliable, trustworthy Council services and under their other services aswell. Any positive feedback for kindness, morality, faith by the Council Services. Can we expect bit of transparency faith and not attacking attitudes by the Public services. Harrow is undoubtedly THE WORST council in London. The area used to be a nice, posh, middle class one a few years ago, but is rapidly crumbling due to the incompetent and disinterested services offered by its council.

If you phone the council to resolve anything, you can be sure you will have to phone 3 or 4 times and still be lucky to see a conclusion to the matter. They just create more work for themselves because they can't resolve it the first time around, then the backlogs start. Staff are rude, incompetent and disinterested. They talk to down to customers in a very condescending manner and all they do is type lots of notes on their screens as you hold on. An average phone call to this council will take 40 minutes as you will be kept on hold listening to the same mind numbing moronic classical track over and over again for at least 15 to 20 minutes before anyone picks up your call. You will be wound up before you even get attended to.

Once you get through you will realise how truly incompetent the staff are, they have no powers to do anything to resolve any issue. The glorified typists type voluminous notes for their equally incompetent managers who refuse to take any calls from the public. You will be told bluntly to submit any complaints through their website and it is so useless that the complaint will either never be submitted automatically or else they will falsely claim you never submitted it.

179 Reviews on Google so far and all around 1 star only because people can't give zero or negative stars to this useless, incompetent behemoth that hinders its residents rather than help them. In short, all staff from the bottom to the top are totally disinterested in providing any sort of genuine service for the borough as they are anxiously waiting for the big hand to hit the 12 at closing time so they can rush home. Salaries intact who cares about the residents. NOTE: Next election is in 2018 (next year) so lets try and change the leadership as the current one is more useless than the disinterested staff they have employed. ...

I need help please, because I feel verbally harassed by the owner of the house

Last year when I moved into the new house, the landlord said that the rent was £1800, after 1 day after I moved in it went up to £1900, I had no choice, I had to accept, he told me that he wants me to pay him the rent in cash and council tax because he doesn't want to pay taxes for the rent, I paid him anyway and always on time, he didn't give me any proof of payment

He made me a handwritten rental contract, every month he keeps stressing me that he has to raise the rent again, when the rental contract ends he kicks me out or I have to pay more rent, that's what he did every month with me

I went to the council to tell them my problem and the only thing I got was the fact that I didn't leave the property and they instructed me to pay the rent by bank transfer, my landlord didn't even want to hear about such a thing, but in the end accepted

The contract ended in November 2023 and I have not found another house where I and 3 other members of my family can move, now the landlord is pressuring me and keeps threatening me to leave the house, I always pay the rent on time and that's how it will be always

I told him to put my deposit in the scheme, he didn't want to, he said I was dreaming too much Epc electricity never gave me a certificate, I recently checked on gov and this house never had one

Now he's starting to verbally harass me again, that he's kicking me out and that he wants more money for the rent, He didn't want to give me gas certificates and he doesn't want to do an annual review, recently I ran out of hot water and I had to urgently call a plumber because he didn't want to help me, he said he was away

I feel like I'm going crazy, with stress, my family and I have nowhere to go, it's very difficult to find something to rent now, could you please advise me what...
