Original review The setting is nice with a lovely family park and amenities nearby too and it was great when it was a Harvester. The food looked very promising as we walked in. Unfortunately, this time some of the food and service were not up to standard and actually very overpriced. What's more there was a big group of ladies next to us who had two shreiking girls throughout the meal which was being overlooked by their parents and which may be beyond the remit of the restaurant. The onion rings were uncooked inside and very greasy and unpleasant tasting and the nachos dish was poor. The nachos dish arrived after everybody else's as a computer glitch meant that starters arrived after main courses! There was also an optional service charge added to the bill. When I asked for it to be removed the response was very rude and they went back to the kitchen to feed back about the onion rings. If you are going to respond to this review, make sure to state clearly that you will be offering a refund on the onion rings and nachos.
12/07 Update Regarding the response: I find it rude and antagonistic. I did not complain about the service except for a rude response when I have asked for the service charge to be removed. I also asked that if you were going to respond that it was to offer a refund - certainly not a credit in a pub that I have no intention of revisiting ever. I also notice that, along with other negative reviews, it is the customer who is in the wrong. Unfortunately, I would wholeheartedly recommend avoiding this establishment. Please donate my deserved refund to a...
Read moreUpdate: 25/05/2023 I'm not coming to this pub again. I used to be a regular here but things changed for the worse.
They charged me over £7 for a pint of pineapple juice and a packet of crisps. It's a ripoff. The extortionate price is because they no longer serve fruit juices in a pint, instead they combined two different drinks to make it into a pint. The manager approved of this. Why can't they just serve drinks in pint glasses like a normal pub?
The new staff are rude and don't listen. The new bar maid takes out an orange juice when I specifically asked for a pineapple juice. Puts ice in my drink when I said "no ice". Sigh. Oh dear. They have a long way to go.
If this is how you run a pub and do customer service then I will no longer be coming here.
It used to be a nice venue. But not anymore. What a shame.
Previous review, 2021 Perfect place to enjoy a cocktail on a sunny day. I had the Berry mojito which was nice and refreshing.
To order have to take a seat and download their app and then pay from there.
The staff are nice and friendly. The pub is nice and clean.
While I was exploring I spotted the chef's preparing a delicious meal. I asked them what it was and it turned out to be pork ribs. I will remember to try that the next time I come here.
They have a front garden and a back garden for seating areas too.
Be it solo or with friends and family, this is a place for everyone....

So, to begin with it started with pregnant prawns for starter? Im pretty sure that must violate some sort of health and safety and animal protection regulations.
Also, with some of the prawns, was served a black/green head which again, I have never seen in any other establishment and I am an avid fish/seafood eater.
Then....comes a sea bass that was incorrectly advertised to me as grilled, but it came served oily and fried, with a green salad that all of the edges of the salad were rotting.
To be completely honest, I would hate to visit this place ever again. Unfortunately, this trip was arranged to come and eat at Harvester, which I unfortunately i established had been changed to this somewhat mediocre establishment.
Then the customer service.....pfft! Where do I start with that? So, it all started to unravel with the lack of honest knowledge about the food and to be honest I'll brush that under the carpet because the lady did state she was new. But in regards to the prawns, the lovely blonde lady did state she can give it to me comp, suggesting she knew there was an issue with them, and a young gentlemen who looked like the head waiter came to me with some sort of lie stating the prawns were in mating season and it's perfectly to eat them with eggs and all. I have pictures if...
