My partner and I had brunch here and absolutely loved it! I had bacon, maple syrup and pancakes, best I've ever had. The pancakes were perfection. My latte was also one of the best I've had in a very long time. The staff were really friendly and welcoming too. We'll definitely be regulars in the future.

Edit: I was a semi regular and as was my partner. Unfortunately he had an issue with a coffee he picked me up, something about a wrong order, but I didn't see and shan't comment. I didn't let this affect my judgement and returned a bit. The coffee is a bit pricier, not sure if it was always this way or I'm more mindful of money now. But today I'm unfortunately not going to be returning. Their menu clearly says £4.50 for porridge and £1.50 for fresh berries but when I paid it was £8.95. Half as much more than I expected. And I was taking away. I queried this afterwards and was told "oh, we've had this a lot lately, we've updated the system but not the menus". I feel very misled and this has unfortunately resulted in lost trust in what I expect to pay. I understand times are tough but they're tough for customers too. Hence my removal of a star. Menu picture taken today included.

I just got home to eat the porridge and I'm highly disappointed. This whole situation has left me feeling down and upset. I feel very cheated. The "fresh berries" is paid god knows how much extra for are some pomegranate seeds, three blueberries and a bit of banana. The pot itself is tiny, photo with hand for scale. Really very sad over this. Removal of...

I've been here many times, was a regular visitor since it opened. Today's visit.. Flat white and a raspberry blonde. Oh dear, what a disappointment. Stale, hard, dry blonde. Badly made coffee, not a flat white, just an insipid white coffee. I told the person behind the counter I was going to sit at the tables in front of the shop, I got served a coffee in a paper cup and a cake in a brown bag...maybe he did not here me over the strange music and chanting playing loudly from every speaker?, maybe there is a language barrier?.. Maybe he just didn't care.

He tried to charge nearly £13 for a 6oz coffee and stall cake, I asked him to check again and it was £7.80!

I paid in cash and received my change in a mix of euro coins and sterling. He changed the foreign coins when I asked him to, but no "sorry", just euro coins back in the till drawer for the next unsuspecting fool.

My last visit to this, once terrific place.

Sad day, but lots of other coffee...

I've come to The Coffee Traveller a lot since moving here 2 years ago but have never really felt the need to post a review as I am usually only there briefly for a take away coffee. However, this week, I felt moved to write something as the atmosphere in the cafe was so beautifully uplifting and felt really different (in a positive way).

It was such a lovely experience. The barista's working here were so kind, thoughtful and friendly. It really made such a difference to my overall experience even though I was just grabbing a take away.

I usually try to go to every cafe and bring a bit of joy and sunshine because I know how difficult it can be to work in hospitality from past experience. It was really lovely to feel this warmth and joy reflected back by the staff at The Coffee Traveller this week and it made a huge difference!

I'll...

The composition of the interior, classic and heartwarming, the colours somewhere between olive green and pecan brown - I could not imagine any better treat to your soul and escape from the daily error and loudness of the fast-paced lifestyle of London. Despite this beautiful place, the house-made quality of the food is a dance to all your senses, from the first bite on you, 're going to experience heaven on earth. Not to speak about the beautiful owner Aziza, always there for you, with an open mind and ear for an enlightened conversation. The place to be! "To give life to beauty, the painter uses a whole range of colours, musicians of sounds, the cook of tastes -- and it is indeed remarkable that there are seven colours, seven musical notes and seven tastes." Lucien Tendret (1825-1896) 'La Table au pays de Brillat-Savarin'.

Just to echo all the positive things already said by others here - cosy independent family owned cafe, simply the BEST tasting coffee I've EVER had! Friendly staff, great rustic decor, river is a stone throw away. Definitely a hidden gem, as I didn't know it was there until a colleague introduced me and well let's just say there's been more lunchtime walks in that direction since! Go drink, eat, enjoy! *Update* Went back with a friend for lunch got caught in the snowfall! Enjoyed the most delicious 5 bean chilli in a bread bowl and a benoffee waffle, which they let us customise! (Phone had died so no pic of waffle but it looked and tasted amazing!)
