The Faber Fox in Crystal Palace, South London, provided the perfect setting for our workplace Christmas dinner, and it was an experience to remember. From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the exceptional food and service, this charming gastropub exceeded all expectations.

The menu at The Faber Fox was a true highlight. Offering a mix of classic British dishes and creative modern twists, there was something to suit every palate. The flavors were bold and satisfying, and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every bite. The festive desserts, particularly the sticky toffee pudding, were the perfect sweet ending to the meal.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsual spot for an after work, but appalled at the staff drinking after shift tonight!! The sous chef was absolutely hammered and had their dog in and got into a scuffle with one of the customers and their dog. What followed was the chefās dog barking up the whole pub and trying to attack the customers dog. I understand that dogs are dogs and can be aggressive but what I donāt understand is that the off duty chef was in open argument with the customer in front of everyone?? Completely destroyed the vibe of the night and we, like many other customers, decided to leave Highlights tonight included: Drunk off duty chef kissing their teeth at a customer and telling them that they āwork hereā as if that was an excuse for them being completely drunk and arguing with customers over a dog fight??? Sous chef going in and out of the kitchen off duty after playing with their dog AND WITH THE DOG in the kitchen(whereās the hygiene standards???) DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Management placing themselves behind the bar and ignoring the situation instead of dealing with the whole altercation between this off duty chef and their customer This chef being allowed to continue drinking in Faber Fox even after causing an argument with a customer???
Definitely worth a visit if you fancy awkwardness watching a drunk chef bring their dog in and argue with a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery strange interaction just had. Reserved for Sunday but called to check wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair toilet which the guy said it was. Then he had to move some things around for us because there was an issue with the initial booking, great!
However...he then warned that it would be very busy that day with sport (which is fine!) so there will be lots of people sitting in front of/en route to the disabled toilet..... So not accessible...."But you can ask people to move" I got back...
It's so disappointing when places see themselves as accessible but the onus is on the wheelchair user to fight through a crowd to get to the toilet. In this situation, it's absolutely fine for the bar to just say actually no we won't be accessible that day sorry. To all pubs/bars/restaurants: pease just put yourself in the position of a wheelchair user for a moment when being asked basic questions.
You seemed kind on the phone and were honest re the crowd which is a mark up from other places so 1...
