We’re only here for 8 days, and I can honestly say, The Feathers Pub has quickly become our favorite spot to eat, drink, and relax in London. Tonight was our third visit to The Feathers, and for good reason…the food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is everything you'd want in a British Pub. I can't think of anything better after a day of touring London than relaxing in a pub with traditional woodwork, a feel good atmosphere, great food, and liveliness that tells you friends gather here! Tonight, the manager/bartender asked if I wanted my usual, Amaretto Sour (they make it just right). It made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Now, let's talk about the food. The Fish and Chips is nothing short of superb. The fish is perfectly battered and fried to a golden crisp, while the chips are thick-cut and cooked to perfection. And the best part? The portion size is generous enough to share. We also ordered two small salads, making it a perfect meal. Whether you're a local or a visitor, The Feathers Pub is a must-visit.

20/8/25 update. I visited the feathers at c.4:30 on a wednesday afternoon in August. I was attending for a friends leaving drinks from work. The atmosphere was quiet at first but quickly livened as the usual thronging crowd of tourists and civil servants made their way into the pub. Outside it was sunny. The mood was contenplative at first but more alcohol induced a lively atmosphere by the time of my leaving. Sharpen your elbows if you want an outdoor table. This is a difficult feat at peak times. Notes on the interior. It is timeless. there are many acoutrements adorning the walls of this establishment. The toilet flushed weakly but effectively for any liquid based excretions (example vid attached). I did not test it's merits on anything more solid. There is also a private door opposite the bar which the enterprising among you may find useful to know can be opened through the careful employment of a couple of hands placed carefully on the top left of the door (example video attached). Do not expect Aladdins cave, this opens into a boring storeroom.

Had a fun time at The Feathers - all the staff are really sweet. A couple of Americans - we made a reservation online (yay!) and walked in to a VERY crowded place at about 6:30 - the nice young lady asked us to wait and we saw her shift some seats around in the back and she sat us at a nice table for two - and left. Hmmmm, I said to myself- well...let's see. So I walked down to the bar and I inquired - order and pay at the bar and we'll deliver to your table. There you go! My husband had a VERY generous portion of fish and chips, I had the smoked salmon toast. Great service, all with smiles. Just go, you'll have fun.

I booked a table here for the end-of-event chat after one of my architectural walking tours.

Despite arriving with twice the number of guests I had booked for, the Manageress cheerfully seated us at a series of tables that allowed us to settle into congenial groups while staying in touch as a single group AND with views of the Grade 1-Listed 55 Broadway opposite!

Our server took our orders at the table which allowed the conversation to flow and was attentive with carafes of water while we waited. When the food arrived the hot dishes really were piping hot and the portions generous, and seemed to attain that elusive sweet-spot where high quality meets affordability.

I ordered the ā€˜Ocean Fish & Chips’, hand-battered haddock and wholetail Scottish scampi with chunky chips and peas, not ambitious you might think but easy to get wrong…here the fish, scampi and vegetables were all singing from the same hymn sheet…that is, all just right: a rare achievement!

I thought I had done well but when the ā€˜Garden Platter’ arrived, ordered by my colleague on my right, I seriously considered trying to arrange a swap: oven-baked camembert with Padrón peppers, marinated olives, long-stem broccoli and garlic sourdough flatbread…it smelled as good as it looked!

Our waiter was always on hand, expertly wrangling serving and clearing and sundry additional requests: up-scale restaurant-standard service in a Public House!

And all for around Ā£20 a head…how they do it beats...

Firstly, myself and a fellow group of friends entered this fine looking establishment for some beverages and a spot of food only to be astounded by the disgraceful lack of care and customer service that was delivered by both a member of staff and management. Although we only ordered a selection of side dishes (garlic bread, chips and Mac n cheese), the food took over forty minutes to arrive at our table. We had also ordered bottled beers that had taken even longer to arrive- we had finished eaten by now. A staff member politely removed this beer from the bill, however, this was done with great difficulty and with the help of the manager. The senior member of staff then called us over to the bar to pay for the bill "so he didn't have to come over to our table himself". We were then forced to pay a tip charge, regardless of the poor service. He then forgot to charge us for our chips (Ā£3something) and proceeded to make us pay again for his mistake. When we asked for this final reciept he gave us another customers receipt. All in all, the staff were very rude, confused and obnoxious. Would not...
