Eileen’s at Buccleuch Gardens Cafe — Restaurant in London

This place is absolutely fantastic and so soo accommodating. Sadly I had only come across this place following on from an accident following a bike ride but the cafe were ever so helpful and did more than I ever could have asked of them! The gentleman had the best knowledge ever when it came to first aid and caring for my injury and the lady there was so lovely and offering water and a hot drink if I wanted/needed. They rushed to help me with ice packs and tissue and guided me through everything I needed to do from the get go. They were soo so friendly and they clearly had their locals too as they welcomed everyone through the door! Hopefully the next time I come in is in a better circumstance! But I really cannot thank you enough! Without his knowledge and expertise I could have been left in a worse situation.

Highly highly recommend for food and drinks-hot or cold!! Really...

I just visited and, while I was there, the man behind the counter was eating ice cream from a plate. To my surprise, he then scooped the ice cream off the plate, back into the tub used for serving the public. I could also see a lot of other ice cream in the tub that had clearly been scooped into it. Not sure why.

By doing this, they they could have introduced their saliva and any potential bacteria or viruses from their mouth back into the shared ice cream container. This poses a high risk of contaminating the food with pathogens, which can lead to food borne illnesses for other customers. I hope the management reviews their hygiene practices to ensure...

1/10 BAD, VERY SCARY CAFE & KITCHEN HYGIENE. Must have been Eileen (the owner) who scratched and picked her face before handling the inside of the paper cups for coffee. 1979’s brownie was so very cheap and bad- and as old as the 1970’s! This cafe relies on tourism not quality! We should have stayed at Richmond Hill Hotel- as the service and menu was excellent- including the coffee and desserts! This cafe has it so very wrong! Avoid! This place and staff needs a deep clean and training! We almost vomited talking...
