The Fox Ickenham — Restaurant in London

We held a baby shower event at Home Bar Ickenham this July and we honestly could not have asked for a better venue and service. We hired the small terrace area towards the rear of the venue and it was ample space for hosting a cocktail style event for around 40 people. We were able to move the chairs and decorate the area to make the space suitable for our requirements. The staff, including the manager, George, were exceptional. George and his team were extremely attentive and took great care of us to ensure we could host a successful event which everyone enjoyed. Nothing was too much to ask. They helpfully rearranged the area to suit our requirement’s, they helped manage the budget I had for the event, they offered to help with the set up and they ensured everyone’s glass was full! Allergy sufferers beware!

My wife has a severe nut allergy, and as a result we are always very clear about this when ordering food. We've only eaten here about 5 or 6 times over the period since it opened, but on 3 occasions weve had issues with her food coming out with nuts on it (despite being assured it wouldn't). The repeating nature of this issue suggests there isn't sufficient training or care taken by the kitchen (to be fair to the servers, the most recent case they noticed the issue when putting the plate on the table and immediately took it away) , which in todays allergy climate is both surprising and very worrying, we won't be risking it again.

Such a shame as the food is usually decent, and the pub itself a really nice place, apart from the fact the music is always WAY too loud - I get it for a Friday/Saturday night, but really at midday on Sunday in an almost empty pub serving brunch you bang out the tunes?!? Same in the restaurant - very strange having a smart meal with...

We were a group of females and got assaulted by a group of Asian males and females, staff didn’t care or help. We had men punching females and the staff just stood and watched. Stay away if you are a female.

Edited to add after Home Bar & Grills response below - Yes we definitely do have the correct venue and you definitely have had such an incident in your establishment. We have since discovered that the group of people who attacked us know the owner, so this is why you are lying and trying to cover it up. We have a police CAD number of 357/26Nov23 and trust that you will be cooperating with the police who will be asking for CCTV. The fact that you are insinuating we are lying is quite frankly an insult and shows what sort of place you run there. My review stands as we have plenty of witnesses to the attack and will make sure all who are thinking of going here know that it is not a safe place and the low calibre of clientele and friends the owner keeps.
