Had an amazing time at The Milk Float yesterday evening with my friend, we were looking for somewhere to meet up and eat after a while not seeing each other and this place next to the river just 3 minutes from Hackney Wick. Been welcomed by the Chef Kane which indicated us that there were tables free up on the boat since we were thinking that everything was booked, but he was so kind to help us find a table for us. All the food he personally prepared was delicious, patty burgers crispy on the edges that melts in your mouth, the fries were rightly salty and crispy too which mix with the ketchup/mayo could highlight the delicacy of them. Roen was our waitress which had a very smiley, happy and welcoming energy not only to us but to all the clients on the boat, from the beginning of the service to the end. Maddie it's the barmaid downstairs who also prepared our milkshakes, which wet delicious and very light (not what you'd expect from "the normal London milkshakes") which were a very nice surprise since we wanted to add something more to our orders from the main menu.
Staff 10/10 Place 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10
Absolutely recommend this place to anyone whoever wants to chill next to the river having a nice evening and also taking a walk after dinner along the river path (which if you keep straight it will bring you to Stratford Westfield without even you...
Read moreI hired the cabin of The Milk Float for my Birthday party last weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. Firstly, the staff are all totally delightful people and super-humans behind the bar - get the double margaritas!
The boat itself is so cozy and lovely, great sound system and they play really good tunes. I hired the cabin incase it rained but we got lucky with the weather and were able to spill out onto the roof too, which was great. They also let me come in before my allotted time to do some decorations with my nearest and dearest.
Overall The Milk Float itself, and everyone that works there, made my Birthday easily one of the best yet - thank you so much and we can't wait...
Read moreNice views on the canal, good atmosphere, friendly staff but a few important things weren't so great. Firstly, the seating arrangements both on the top deck and down below were quite uncomfortable. Secondly, if you are coming for cocktails, myself and my other half were really not impressed. Our drinks were far too sweet and felt like they were made with syrup. I would expect a much better quality of drink within that price range. Furthermore, I feel as though I was overcharged. Either that or they added a service charge without telling me or giving me a bill. We spent the afternoon in the area and found the quality and price of drinks to be markedly better at Little...
