This is my new local having abandoned The Grosvenor due to terrible new management and while trying to avoid rip-off brewery pubs. It’s an Irish pub with plenty of very friendly staff, good food and drinks at reasonable prices. They also have daytime offers to 5pm. The beer garden is a good size, well laid out and mostly under cover so I wish they divided this up into smoking and no smoking areas as it can get a bit smokey for us non smokers. We grabbed a couple of options for them from the kids menu, and they went the extra mile by adapting the younger child ‘s plate to accommodate his large number of allergies. The pub was busy with lots of old locals, who, rather than frowning at the presence of (well-behaved) children gave smiles and nod to add to...
