Popped in to have a cold drink yesterday whilst waiting on my daughter to complete an appointment nearby. 1st impressions is that it was very clean and that the garden was busy with diners. I chose to sit in a quiet area near the door & a socket. Staff were very good at getting me to register via a QR code but I could have saved myself some time as I had to register again when I used their WiFi. I was a little disappointed with their non-alcoholic & soft drink range. They had 2 alcohol free beers but the soft drink range was very limited. I decided on a Heineken 0.0 with a splash of lemonade but thought it was a little on the expensive side at £5.05 I was served at my table as is the policy due to COVID and paid via contactless, which was great, but as I was in a very quiet area I was left to my own devices which usually would be ok for me but as it was a warm day I drank my beverage quickly but nobody came to check to see if I wanted another or something else. This was a little disappointing as I was close to the door and it should not have been a major diversion to pop their head in to check. After awhile I had to plug my laptop in to charge and thought it great that they had sockets on the ledge of the seating rather than on the floor, they also had the USB ports so you don't need a plug if you want to charge your phone/tablet. The thing is the sockets are too close to the upholstery that you struggle to get the plug in securely, but this is a 1st world problem! I decided to use the toilets, they were spotless, and get another drink. As I perused the fridges I spotted a 7up that had not been offered earlier and so ordered 2, again served at the table but again I thought they were on the expensive side at £2.95 each. The GP must be excellent but I do not see how it encourages responsible drinking as at those prices it would probably be cheaper to buy a pint. Maybe the government could add a new licensing objective that non-drinkers are not over charged for low/non alcoholic beverages. Not sure who is in charge of the venue's pricing, if it is a Fuller's managed or tenanted site but whomever it is I would like them to review their pricing. If it is a tenant then Fuller's should also help by not over charging on soft drinks on a tied tenancy. I also believe that low alcohol beers should not be charged at the same rate as their...

Ordered drinks at 1830 on a Friday evening. Many tables in the pub empty so they weren't overly busy. After 20 minutes, I went into the pub and asked the bar staff if they had got the drinks order. Confirmed they had and it was paid for. Another 10 minutes pass and still no drinks. Spoke to multiple staff but still nobody forth coming. One of the party ordered crisps and they were delivered instantly. Duty manager then informed us that she would be getting the drinks. Another 20 minutes passed and eventually the older manager appears, drinks on the table and his only words were "Dunno what took so long, at least they're here now" and walked away. 19:30 drinks delivered. However, wine glass had lipstick around the edge and was obviously not clean at all - nobody in our party wearing lipstick...

Shocking level of service and a lack of any remorse at all. Spoke to the older manager at the end who still didn't seem to grasp the fact we waited nearly an hour for 2 pints and a bottle of wine. Standing there completely unaware and seemingly useless, an apology was only forthcoming when it was heavily suggested that they had messed up.

Many of the staff were pleasant and apologetic but the older manager was next to useless.

The only reason we stayed was because it was a suprise for one of the party and people were...

Just come home and theres a cheque for £60 (dated 19th) from ParkingEye. So I acknoledge this quick turnaround. However we'll wait until the moneys cleared into our accounts before we put a few more Stars to this review. Well now recieved a letter dated 14th April. But wheres the £60 rebate??? As we paid the Paking fine as er CPP's threatening letter. So you've taken the money and after 60 days and two letters STILL kept our money!!! FRAUD!!!! April13th (almost 2 months later)and Still waiting for refund!! zero stars? No repy option; so just replying inside the original post. We have already paid the £60 'fine' due too 'Threatening language used by parking enforcers' You have access to the cctv footage so can see it was not a 'fake review' And the gates too your car park 'was' open at '9 am'. So a genuine potenital customer with others 'caught out' by heavy rain and council refuse users.. What you do now next will deternime if we remove this 1 star review. Our parking charge refernce is: 355722/510155 and Payment Reference is 457-62610. The balls...

Super pub and huge on the inside. Great outdoor garden and front patio area is also good for catching the sun and watching the world go by. Sunday roasts are a must as we had had many recommendations to try one which we did late last year. Our most recent visit was for a small lunch and drink. I had the chicken club sandwich which comes with triple cooked chips and it was excellent and very well priced. We also tried the steak sandwich again very very nice. The pub is super dog friendly with lots of water bowls and not too cramped inside. Only criticism is there was lots of staff members which can sometimes counter act how long you wait to be served, but the bar was very quick and we did wave down some one to help order our food but we're looked over a few times as I can only assume they thought we were already being served. Well worth a visit and will be back. Photos of my sandwiches 😋

Went on Saturday lunch in December. Must say disappointing okish lunch. Ordered a burger as main course. Quite dry and tasted dull. It’s sad I had to use ketchup to make the taste better. British pub food in the UK is getting worse. I paid around £32 (per person) for shared starter (whitebait) and a main course and a shared dessert and a shared sparkling water. The sticky toffee pudding was however good which I think can hardly go wrong. To be honest, I rather pay more and go for Michelin guide/star restaurant. I just don’t know how British pub/restaurants can survive at this rate. Maybe they are meant for unrefined palate. Service quality of waiter was good and polite nevertheless.

I was the first customer after doors open in the morning (I'd been waiting for my car to be serviced nearby and wanted somewhere to eat that wasn't full of Burberry waistcoats and hooray henriettas!). I ordered the Club Sandwich and an orange juice. The young man who served me was very friendly, and as I had never visited this particular branch of Mrs Miggins' port of fare, he patiently showed me the way things were done there. The sandwich was very tasty and a good portion size. Some of the bacon was burnt and the chicken was cold, as was the plate, but this was balanced by the overall taste of the ensemble and the fries, which were hot - crispy on the outside, fluffy within.
