RUBBISH food, MUST AVOID this restaurant....Being a Bengali myself, I decided to order 2 Bengali dishes from the menu which were Chital Kofta - minced fish flattened into a ball shape, shallow fried and then served in an exotic sauce - medium and Fish Shorisha Batta - fish cooked in freshly grounded mustard seeds, spring onions, tomatoes, capsicum and green chillies - assamese east indian style, hot. Whatever I received was totally different from what was described in the menu. The curry sauce for both the dish should have been totally different. But I received the same curry sauce in both the dish. The Koftas should have been soft balls of minced fish as described in the menu, instead they were so rubbery that I just couldn't chew them at all. I'm sure the minced balls were not made fresh, instead they were at least 1 week old. Both the dishes were not seasoned at all. The taste was very very very bland. Fish Shorisha Batta is one my favourite dishes. I was so excited about it once I saw it in the menu. But when I received it I was so so disappointed. It was total rip off. As described in the menu Fish Shorisha Batta means fish cooked in freshly grounded mustard seeds, spring onions, tomatoes, capsicum and green chillies. Instead of freshly grounded mustard seeds there was whole mustard seeds thrown in the curry which made the curry so so bitter. Furthermore there were no spring onions, tomatoes, capsicum in the curry as described in the menu. A Fish Shorisha Batta dish should not contain any onions, instead the curry was full of whole crunchy onions, not cooked at all. It's a TOTAL SHAME that this restaurant is selling Bengali food. These people can't even cook food properly. Both the dishes were nowhere near a decent curry. SHUT DOWN YOUR RESTAURANT. RIPPING OFF PEOPLE'S HARD EARNED MONEY.
