if you want to ruin your own birthday or potentially have one of your guests suffer from an allergic reaction, book this restaurant! if not, choose another restaurant.

apologies for how long of a review this will be but there was too many instances of bad service and lack of respect or care that i had to include them all. honestly the worst dining experience i have ever had. from before i even got to the restaurant i knew the experience would have been bad but because it was too late to find another restaurant to take 18 guests on a saturday so I was stuck with following through on my booking with the restaurant. The restaurant first "lost my booking" and could not give me the same slot i had originally, made me out to be lying about making an initial booking even though i had an email thread with their staff discussing the booking. they said specifically since there's no evidence of the email thread on their systems (i reckon they deleted it) they cannot take accountability or provide any apologies for it even after I offered to share screenshots of all my emails to the reservation team. My original booking was for inside at 7pm and they could only offer me outside at 9:30pm. I was also told when i finally made the booking that although the table time is late last orders is at 11:30 so there would be plenty of time to order and eat. The service only gets worse from here. On the day, the booking was at 9:30pm and my table was not ready until 10pm which had myself and my guests standing around waiting for a table to be ready out in the cold. We were then advised that last orders were at 11:45pm (different from what we were told over the phone not even a week before). One of my guests was lead by a host to 3 different tables of random people before finally being lead to our table that was not even ready. by the time everyone was settled and the table was ready it was 10:20pm to which a member of staff came and told us last orders was in fact at 10:30pm and we had 10 minutes to order. One of my guests has a nut allergy and when he attempted to communicate this to the waiter he was met with a dismissive attitude and did not feel like he was met with a level of care or importance to make sure he was safe throughout his dining experience. They then began placing food anywhere and ignoring all my requests to try to help them place food to the correct table as we had 3 tables joined together. This was especially important due to my guest with the allergy which did not seem to matter to them as they placed food containing nuts directly in front of him as the waiter i believe never declared his allergy. shortly after all my guests had their food we were then informed by security that the outdoor section was closing and that we were to quickly finish our food. When we informed him that we only had just received our food he shrugged his shoulders and brought two more waiters who began trying to rush us to finish our food. We were then told the staff want to go home and we are bothering them by staying and that we should hurry up and leave. By the time the bill was brought around they had already removed the service charge which means they were well aware of how appallingly they were treating us but still no apology was made to us. when making the payment the waiter then told us to again "hurry up because the staff want to go home" i ended the night in tears because of how poorly i felt we were treated. Nobody checked if we had received all our food and it was correct, we had to go and find a staff indoors to inform when items of the order hadn't come to the table correctly. No one made me or my friend feel special as it was our birthday dinner and we were celebrating. instead we were insulted, ignored, rushed and dismissed. it felt like our existence was a bother to them. Despite being surrounded by the people i loved which is what i was trying to focus on, i will remember my 24th birthday to be tainted by this experience. i have never felt so unwelcome and unwanted in anywhere let alone a place i am...

Coco at Canary Wharf, located in one of London’s most vibrant areas, is a stylish dining destination offering a modern, sophisticated atmosphere alongside a creative menu. Coco combines contemporary interiors with warm lighting in the iconic business district, creating an inviting ambience perfect for intimate dinners and lively gatherings.

The restaurant’s decor exudes luxury, with sleek furniture, plush seating, and striking decor accents. The large windows allow natural light to stream in during the day, while subtle lighting sets a more elegant, intimate mood at night. Coco’s stylish interior reflects the energy of Canary Wharf, making it a fitting choice for professionals and trendy diners.

Coco’s eclectic menu combines European and Asian influences with innovative twists on classic dishes. The chefs here aren’t afraid to experiment, which shows in their unique flavour combinations. Whether you’re craving fresh seafood, succulent meats, or vegetarian options, there’s something for every palate.

Standout Dishes:

• Truffle Burrata: A creamy, decadent starter that melts in your mouth. The added truffle makes it both fragrant and luxurious. • Miso Black Cod: This is a must-try main. It is cooked to perfection, with the cod’s delicate texture and rich, umami flavour balancing beautifully. • Coconut Panna Cotta: A light, refreshing dessert with a hint of tropical flavour—a great way to end a meal without feeling overly full.

Service at Coco is exceptional, with attentive and knowledgeable staff ready to recommend dishes or wine pairings. The team seems genuinely invested in ensuring diners have a memorable experience. The waitstaff strikes a balance between attentive and unobtrusive, making the dining experience pleasant and relaxing. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Coco doesn’t serve alcohol, which some reviewers feel limits the dining experience. The menu is moderately priced, averaging between £26 and £40 per person.

Coco is a popular spot, so reservations are highly recommended, especially for peak times and weekends. The restaurant typically requires a deposit for larger groups, which is refundable within a specific timeframe should plans change. Cancellation policies vary based on group size, so it’s best to confirm details when booking. Coco also accommodates walk-ins when possible, though availability may be limited.

As expected in a premium Canary Wharf location, Coco’s prices reflect its quality and sophistication. While it might be on the higher end, the experience justifies the cost, making it an excellent spot for a special occasion or a treat-yourself evening. Coco Canary Wharf has a booking policy that requires reservations to be held for up to 15 minutes, a 2-hour seating time, and a minimum spend based on the time and day, ranging from £25 to £50 per person. A deposit may be needed for larger groups. For the terrace, a minimum spend applies, with additional requirements for shisha orders and age limits. Cancellations require 24-hour notice. A smart-casual dress code is also enforced.

Coco at Canary Wharf is a chic, upscale choice for those looking for a blend of ambience, innovation, and top-notch service. Its sophisticated setting, inventive menu, and quality dining experience make it a standout in the Canary Wharf area. Coco promises an unforgettable culinary experience, perfect for a business dinner or a...

I visited COCO Canary Wharf restaurant on the 28th of June 2023 for Eid with great excitement and anticipation, having seen a lot of buzz and positive reviews about the Tower Hill branch on social media. Unfortunately, the standards I had expected were not mirrored at this particular branch, and I left thoroughly dissatisfied with my experience.

Upon arrival, despite having made a prior booking, the employees seemed unaware of which area I had requested to be seated in. When I specifically requested the terrace area, I was told that it was not available. I had to show my booking confirmation, which the staff could have easily seen as they had asked for my details, before they finally seated us correctly. This lack of organisation and attention to detail was quite off-putting and did not set a positive tone for the rest of the visit.

To add to my disappointment, the waiters took an unreasonably long time to approach our table and take our food orders. It felt as though we had been forgotten. Furthermore, when I asked our waiter for more details about the menu items, he appeared to have limited knowledge about the food and was unable to provide satisfactory explanations or recommendations. This lack of product knowledge among the staff was quite surprising and did not inspire confidence in the overall dining experience.

When our food finally arrived, it was presented beautifully, as evident in the attached photographs. The aesthetic appeal was commendable, but unfortunately, the taste and quality of the food did not match the price point. I ordered the Wok Stir Fry, priced at £19, and I must say it was incredibly disappointing. The only redeeming aspect of the dish was the king-sized prawns, which were of good quality. However, everything else tasted as if it had come straight out of a generic supermarket meal deal. The noodles were clumped together and stuck due to the excessive use of pre-packaged sweet chili sauce. The flavors lacked freshness and originality. It was disheartening to pay such a high price for a dish that did not meet expectations in terms of taste and quality.

Similarly, the drinks we ordered were visually appealing, with a wide selection of non-alcoholic options. However, the drink I received, as shown in the attached photograph, was mostly comprised of a giant ice cube, occupying 90% of the glass. For a price of £12, this was highly disappointing. While I understand the importance of presentation, it should not come at the expense of quantity or value for money. The drink lacked substance and failed to deliver a satisfying experience.

Overall, my visit to COCO Canary Wharf left me with the impression that it is a restaurant more focused on aesthetics and social media hype rather than delivering a memorable dining experience. It lacks substance in both customer service and food quality. Regrettably, I have found other restaurants in the area that offer higher quality food and a more enjoyable dining experience at similar price points.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and use it constructively to improve the overall customer experience at COCO Canary Wharf. It is essential to address the issues mentioned to ensure that future customers are not subjected to the same...

Standout Dishes: • Truffle Burrata: A creamy, decadent starter that melts in your mouth. Coco promises an unforgettable culinary experience, perfect for a business dinner or a stylish night out.

It is essential to address the issues mentioned to ensure that future customers are not subjected to the same disappointment!
