Me & my wife had the pleasure of visiting Fairbanks Cocktail Bar in Canary Wharf as part of my birthday weekend celebrations, and it turned out to be one of the most elegant and memorable highlights of the day. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear that this wasn’t just another cocktail bar—it was an experience thoughtfully designed around craft, quality, and sophistication.

Cocktails – Elevated, Inventive, and Flawlessly Executed

The drinks at Fairbanks are in a league of their own. Each cocktail we tried was meticulously crafted, both in presentation and flavour. It’s rare to find a bar where the menu feels curated not just to impress, but to tell a story—and Fairbanks absolutely succeeds in doing so.

Whether you’re into bold and smoky or light and refreshing, the bartenders here deliver with both precision and flair. We particularly enjoyed how well-balanced the drinks were—no overpowering sweetness or gimmicky combinations, just deep, complex flavours layered with intention.

Watching the mixologists work behind the bar was like watching artists at work. Their technique, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for the craft added to the whole atmosphere. You can tell they care deeply about what they’re serving.

Ambience – Modern Sophistication Meets Comfort

Fairbanks offers a beautiful, intimate setting that makes it feel like a hidden gem in the heart of Canary Wharf. The interior design strikes the perfect balance between modern luxury and laid-back comfort, making it ideal for a date night, special celebration, or even a quiet evening wind-down.

Subtle lighting, plush seating, and an elegant colour palette make the space feel warm and inviting, while still upscale and refined. Whether seated at the bar or in one of the lounge areas, it felt like the kind of place you want to linger in.

There was a calm, confident buzz in the air not loud or crowded, but with just the right amount of energy to make you feel like you’re part of something special.

What really made our experience shine was the exceptional service especially from the lovely securityguard she had plats phenomenal individual friendly and extremely kind. The team at Fairbanks strike that rare and perfect balance between being professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming.

Our bartender took the time to walk us through some of the cocktail options, offering thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences—and they absolutely nailed it. We felt valued as guests, and it was clear that customer experience is a top priority here.

Even small gestures—like the elegant glassware, the smooth pacing of service, or the check-ins without being intrusive—made the evening feel effortlessly luxurious.

Location – Perfectly Placed in Canary Wharf

Tucked neatly in Canary Wharf’s upscale setting, Fairbanks offers a much-needed contrast to the busier, louder venues nearby. It’s easy to access, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and riverside walks—making it a great spot to begin or end your evening.

Final Thoughts: An Exceptional Cocktail Destination

Fairbanks Canary Wharf is more than just a bar it’s a destination for anyone who values quality, atmosphere, and service. Every detail, from the cocktails to the lighting to the hospitality, is delivered with intent and excellence.

If you're looking to elevate your evening with refined drinks in a sophisticated setting, I can't recommend Fairbanks highly enough. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, like we were, or just in the mood for a perfect cocktail crafted by experts, this place will exceed your expectations.

We will absolutely be returning, and I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know looking for an exceptional cocktail...

I’m extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received today. I expected to be treated with basic courtesy and support but instead encountered rudeness, a lack of response, and unprofessional behaviour.

My concerns were not addressed properly, and I felt ignored and undervalued as a customer. This experience has seriously affected my trust in your service and potentially anyone else’s experience if they were to encounter the same treatment.

At first, we were mistakenly identified as another group, but thankfully, a different staff member acknowledged us. The gentleman we initially encountered was respectful and understanding and this is why I am giving 2 stars, he empathied and then proceeded to give us freebies of candy and popcorn after 10 minutes of addressing our issue, which was not what we expected, this was probably the only good service we received, and the situation was resolved, which then I thought this was a well deserved 3. However, when we later returned to the bar we where yet again refused until we went to the other side of the bar and got served by a member of staff that has only just started his shift for the day, no issue, we then chose to go up to the bar and asked for the bartender’s name (Georgia) after being refused by her multiple of times with no explanation but "no", her reaction was unprofessional. She immediately turned to speak with the floor leader, and several staff members stood around her whilst talking and looking at us, making it obvious there was an issue. The floor staff member then approached us, immediately dismissed our opinion, and defended her colleague without even acknowledging our concerns. She was rude, dismissive, and ignorant, showing no interest in understanding our side of the situation.

If your staff felt that we shouldn’t have been served, then they should have communicated that clearly and respectfully, instead of just saying “no” and walking away. As someone with experience in hospitality and behind the bar, I can say this is not how you treat customers. It makes me wonder how your team behaves behind closed doors.

This was the first bar we visited today. The first thing we ordered was glasses of water, which no one else in the venue seemed to have. We then were refused service when we were ready to order from the menu because your staff assumed we were intoxicated, yet no one communicated that to us directly or gave us an explanation.

If you’re looking for a good time out, this isn't the place, go elsewhere, there's a wetherspoons across the bridge, atmosphere is amazing, and the staff are very polite, after all it's wetherspoons, you can't go wrong. You'd think the service here at fairgame would have been better, but clearly, as I stated, it was not. I sincerely hope your team takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements. I hope the management of...

Male security walking into women's bathroom shouting "you're taking the piss now" as the establishment is closing is out of order and extremely disrespectful. I'm not sure if they're aware but it is a basic human right to have access to adequate sanitation lol. I'd like to stress that point. In all my life I have never ever had this happen to me. Not only did it ruin my best friends birthday night but it left us very upset...

I observed the security and staff, and they like to use intimidating tactics to try and get rid of people right before they close so they can go home (one of the staff shouted at us that they're going to miss their last train. It was literally 12:57 and this place closes as 1:00). I've worked in pubs/bars and know fully well how frustrating it can be to get customers to leave but there's a way to do this. I'm not sure why customers should be made aware that staff have a last train and that us being there is an inconvenience. Had we been there past 1:15-1:30 I would have sympathised, but it was 1:57. Perhaps staff should start a conversation with management about shift times and not misdirect their discontent at customers who were only trying to enjoy their Friday night and birthday celebrations.

I do not recommend. Games are boring and bland. If you're a gamer be prepared to be very underwhelmed. Staff were ok, some acted like they were doing us a favour by making us cocktails that were paid for. Making it very obvious that they were unhappy to do it even though they're working behind the bar. The boy that worked behind the bar yesterday (26.09.25) was sweet at first but once his female colleague came to help the attitude changed and they were both not bothered. All in all just not worth your £19 if I'm being honest...an arcade would have been more fun. I consider us to be friendly bubbly and respectful however at this place that is not appreciated.

Security are there to make the place feel safe but if anything I felt threatened and intimidated by them. Outrageous. We were kicked out at 1:01 after exchanging some back and forth. Hated it. I wish I knew a way to...

Fairgame was such a blast! I went alone and felt like a kid again. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this was going to be a fun experience. I had to wait a bit (I was a walk-in) but I really enjoyed the food and drinks beforehand. I’d definitely recommend booking ahead if you don’t like waiting. The staff were absolutely lovely and so kind. A special shout-out to the gorgeous girl at the front desk who also checked my jacket at the coat room and later helped out at the cotton candy gift stand. I didn’t catch her name, but she was wearing a light blue crop top today and was the sweetest person ever. You made my day! Another big shout-out to Jordan, the gorgeous Australian bartender. She made the most incredible cocktails, was super friendly, and had the best personality. If you’re into cocktails, I’d highly recommend these: • Popcorn Old Fashioned (£12): A rum-based cocktail served with a cute little basket of popcorn. Unique and delicious! • Helter Skelter (£11): A sweet and sour gin-based cocktail with a marshmallow garnish. So fun and tasty. • Sucker Punch (£12): A phenomenal sour rum-based cocktail that’s a must-try. The food was top-notch. I had the double cheeseburger with butter mayo (£16), and it was hands down the best burger I’ve had in ages, juicy, packed with flavor, and absolutely mouthwatering. 20/10! I also tried the soft tacos (£10), which came with shrimp, chicken, and beef. They were super delicious and made with flavorful corn tortillas. The shrimp taco could’ve been better if the shrimp was tempura-based, but overall still a solid 9/10. The games were so much fun, whether you’re playing solo or with a group. For £15-17, it’s totally worth it. You get the play 2 rounds back to back. You’ll break a sweat and have a good laugh. It’s an all-around amazing experience.

Amazing time. We went yesterday (Wednesday at 1:30pm) a little quiet due to the time of day but it soon picked up. Staff were super welcoming and helpful in fact one member of staff, who I unfortunately did not get a name for, upon hearing it was my partners birthday have us a free round! We only had chips but they were lovely and crispy and the lemonade was one of the nicest I’ve had in a while! Having travelled into London we had coats and bags and were concerned at having to carry these around however upon arrival we were informed that there was a cloak room for free! This was also handled brilliant and I felt really safe leaving my things. The place is beautifully designed and really keeps to the fairground theme from glitter tables, waltzer style booth and food stands we truly felt like we were at the fair. The games themselves were really easy to play and whilst it was a bit annoying we had to wait to join games if they were already in progress it actually added to the fair theme in that you have to queue for rides etc. games were laid out well and were very nostalgic some games like space raider and the shooting range were hard to understand the controls of and my gun didn’t seem to fire one on the range but others like knocking down the tins and the water pistol games were great. Skeeball is my absolute favourite but i would’ve preferred to play two frames per round however that’s just me wanting to play it for longer! There’s a good queuing system in place that works for the most part (minus the drunk hen/stag dos) but all in all a really fun afternoon activity took us probably two and a bit hours total to play two games 10/10 will be returning this time to win a bear! Also the toilets were beautifully decorated and clean!!! (Price per person includes food and drink we bought)

I recently visited Fairgame in Canary Wharf with some friends. I’d been trying to visit for a little while now, but it’s always fully booked as it seems to be extremely popular! The atmosphere was lively as soon as we walked in. Bright lights, good music, and cool decorations created a fun vibe. There's a 30-minute wait between check-in and your game time, so we relaxed in the main bar area and grabbed drinks until it was our time. For £15.00 you’ll be hard pushed to find better value for an hour+ entertainment in London. It’s essentially a collection of 8 fairground themed games, that range from a classic ‘Whack-a-mole’ to an even more crazed shooting gallery. Overall, the games are good fun, and all very different. You get to play each game twice, but it is consecutively, so you can’t go back and play a game after you complete it. We were in there for just over an hour and completed all 8 games without too much queueing. Your scores are also added up with a leaderboard at the end which adds even more of a competitive element. I did find the staff I encountered were not particularly friendly or welcoming, and the door staff did seem to go out of their way to look intimidating which doesn’t set the best impression upon entry. The food and drink are also fairly expensive. We ordered cocktails which were around £15.00 with service charge. Overall, Fairgame is great value for the actual games, and is really good fun for a group of friends or something a little bit different for a date night. The food and beverage offering is a little pricey but it’s still a great spot in Canary Wharf for something fun to do.
