DO NOT GET PIZZA.. Never eating here again. TLDR; -fish has skin on it, they told me it didn't -pizza was just oil on melted cheese (pictured) -waitress hinted that if I leave a bad review they won't comp it but they will if I don't leave bad review -falafel burger was mediocre and chips were not good. -I ended up getting tescos meal deal for dinner which was much tastier. -customer service was good until it wasn't -resaurant appears clean I very rarely leave bad reviews anywhere I go, but I did not want anybody else to have the same dining experience that I did at The Three Stags this week. When I entered the pub the staff was friendly and advised I could pick any table outside. My mum and I ordered seperate meals. I had asked the waitress if the fish had skin on it, she asked the kit hen and came back advising there was no skin on the fish. I said if there is no skin I will order it, if there is skin I'll go with a different meal option. She went ahead and put in the order for fish. The fish came back with skin on it, this was a communication issue as the the kitchen had told her the fish was skinned and this was not the best word choice for comminication. My mum had received her food and this did stop us from eating at the same time which was an inconvenience. The staff did offer to bring out another dish to replace the one I had, but they didn't bring a menu with them. I remembered their menu had pizza and at this point I was very hungry. So I asked for cheese pizza. They brought out the pizza and it was a hot tortilla with a ton of cheese and even more oil. (Photos included.) As a person who is very easily happy with pizza, this was the worst I ever ate. The table next to us also got pizza, they had toppings so it was better but I overheard them talling that they were not very impressed with theirs either. I showed the waitress the condition of the pizza and she offered to take it back and make something else. I had taken 2 bites out of it and said I'd rather not have anything and requested to have the cost taken off the tab. I was taking the photos for this review as she came out. She said that was fine and she would remove it off the tab. She disappeared for a while so I went in to pay for my mums meal. When I went inside she stated that if I'm going to post a bad review even if they comp the meal that I should pay for the food. I said I'll pay for it but I don't think it's right to have anybody pay for what I was served. She said that it's up to me if I pay and she thinks that it would be the right thing to do to pay. I disagreed and paid for the other food on the tab. Overall very poor experience.

🚇 Lambeth North 🍺 £5.70 Pravha ❤️ A traditional corner pub with links to Kennington’s most famous son. . The Three Stags is perched on a corner at the busy junction of Kennington and Lambeth roads. The Imperial war museum is just around the corner and nearest tube is Lambeth North. . This pub is steeped in local history. Charlie Chaplin’s father drank in here and the pub is mentioned in Charlie Chaplin’s autobiography. . The interior here is traditional with lots of rustic tables and chairs. There are some original period features and a few eclectic touches too. Around the bar are a number of chalkboards detailing upcoming entertainment and a CBD cocktails list no less. In the corner of pub is a cosy intimate snug called Chaplins corner. . I was served by a really bubbly and engaging member of staff who took my pint order. I opted for a pint of Pravha which was nice and under six quid. The food menu is full of pub classics, there are also wood fired pizzas which are very popular and available to takeaway. . I visited late afternoon and the pub was starting to fill up. The atmosphere was relaxed and the majority of punters were sat on the benches outside. There is plenty to keep you entertained here, there are regular quiz nights, live music and also cabaret evenings. . The @thethreestags_se1 is an excellent pub with lots of history attached. This pub offers great beer, food and entertainment. I really enjoyed my visit here, definitely one for your list. . ℹ️ Information correct on visiting 24/09/22

While on a walkabout to the National War Museum hunger struck. Having sampled pub grub on an earlier visit the Three stags presented an opportunity to sample more of the same. Given the time of day the menu was limited. The chef and staff accommodated us with a delicious pizza. It filled us right up. As an added bonus I discovered Charlie Chaplin's corner. In truth it was the non smoking section that I was looking for. The two page monograph about Mr. Chaplin was eye opening, I maybe sat where Charlie spent some of his youth. If your every in London give the Three Stags pub a visit. Stop by the National War Museum its around the corner. PS, I've posted Charlie's monograph to the picture associated with the Three Stags entry on Google maps.

I very rarely leave bad reviews anywhere I go, but I did not want anybody else to have the same dining experience that I did at The Three Stags this week.

When I entered the pub the staff was friendly and advised I could pick any table outside.

The Three Stags is a gem of a pub that truly delivers on every front. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly balances traditional charm with a modern edge. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel at home, whether you’re popping in for a quick bite, meeting friends for a meal, or just looking to relax over a cup of tea.

The staff here go above and beyond to make your visit special. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they make sure every detail is taken care of without being intrusive. They’re knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, which is a great touch when you’re unsure of what to try. You really get the sense that they care about providing a memorable experience for every customer.

The food is simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and made with what seemed like the freshest ingredients. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care goes into their menu. What’s even better is that they offer gluten-free options, making it accessible for those with dietary restrictions. It’s always a relief to find a place where gluten-free doesn’t mean compromising on taste or variety.

What really surprised me was how good the tea was. It’s rare to find a place that puts so much attention into something as simple as tea, but it was perfectly brewed and served with care. It complemented the meal wonderfully and showed that even the smallest details are important here.

Overall, The Three Stags offers everything you could want in a pub and more. It’s a place I can see myself coming back to time and time again, not just for the fantastic food and drinks, but also for the welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service. Highly recommended to anyone in the area—you won’t be...
